But, in case McLaren are seriously thinking of hiring Button: wise the f*** up. I don't want that waste of space anywhere near McLaren.

Say what you really think why don't you? :hehe: I've never heard anyone refer to the current world champion as a waste of space before!

The truth hurts. Pretty much because of the reasons I have just mentioned, Button's championship donation is nothing special. He is a joke champion. Rather than put a gutless, substandard idiot like Button in the car, I'd rather McLaren looked at other people already in Formula One or signed another young driver, to build for the team's future.

I certainly don't agree with your comments about JB; he certainly isn't a joke champion and his determined drive in Brazil proved that he isn't gutless, JB was being sensible; protecting his championship lead. I don't want to see JB at McLaren either as I believe it'll be his downfall as I suspect that McLaren will favour golden boy Lewis Hamilton. Speaking of LH; he didn't exactly win his championship in emphatic style either; is he a joke champion as well? Bottom line is; the driver with the most points come the end of the season is champion; regardless of personal opinion; Jenson is as worthy a champion as Lewis or Kimi before him!

I was about to say similar stuff
And was thinking exactly the same re. LH last year. While JB conducted a nearly flawless, error-free title campaign, LH last year on more than one occasion looked like a tool.
I'm almost tempted to compare them two drivers the way I'd compare AP and AS, with my preference being on the smart professor-style driver rather than on the error-prone hot-shot.

Although I realize your more of a team fan than a driver fan I have my doubt's your opinion and comment's would be so derogatory of JB if he had won the title in a McLaren so I say BS  .

Eh, yes, it would, so stop being so stupid. I was quick to point on Hamilton's mistakes in 2008, I am quick pointing out Kovalainen's failings, and I was quick to point out how unfair it was when Ryan was the fall guy in Australia. I am no fan boy like yourself, who has only watched Formula One in the last ten years or so and jumped on the Schumacher bandwagon.

Jeez, your arrogance really does know no bounds eh?

How is it arrogance? Texasmr2 has just claimed I'm only against Button because he's not won the championship in a McLaren, despite this obviously not being the case. Why don't you talk to him for misrepresenting me?

The legendary Prost - arguably the best driver of all time - mentioned alongside Button. Has this forum any standards?

Hardly true. The difference between both drivers was minimal, and neither Prost and Senna raced against one another when they were truly at their peaks. What many die hard Senna fans fail to realise is that by belittling Prost, you are dumbing down Senna's achievements against him.

With special sauce? :P

Better get used to the fact not everybody on here (or in the world for that matter) buys into the mass-hysteria that surrounds AS

You may have noticed I did not compare them with the legends, but said I would compare them like I would compare AP and AS, referring to their styles and season management.

Eh? Comparing Button and Hamilton as you would Prost and Senna means you are connecting Button with Prost and Hamilton with Senna to a good extent.

I still feel as though I must clarify my position on cerebral driving styles. I have absolutely nothing against it. It is another perfectly legitimate method of driving. Any driver who drives as fast as he can for a whole race is an idiot. The point I'm making here is that Prost executed his plans to drive intelligently without flaw, and he was able to up the ante when he needed to. People are confusing Button's ineptitude with Prost-like driving, and these things are binary opposites.

Common sense says this move is not going to happen. Most likely Kimi will end up in McLaren. The other two options are Glock and Heidfeld (slight chance for Kovalainen also though). Other's have very very very slim shot imo.
