I have advocated a break-away series since 2007, when Max and the FIA were screwing over McLaren so hard. Only Bernie and Max could have made a new series possible, THIS IS SWEET!!!!!!!!

My Opinion on The

F.O.T.A Super League (my own name for it)

Bud will agree with me on this that is the best news that has happened to F1 since the crappy new cars have come about? In sports Money does count for everything! This season could have seen the Brawn Gp team dominate in such fashion, it could not have for seen it, but it has and F1 is suffering so badly that people are tuning out! But to reach out to the fans, here are a few facts for you what the new league could bring!

· If Brawn join the group? They could still have the funding to be able to be as competitive as this season
· Better cars? More sleek and sexy! I want the big cars? Big engines? F1 is all about Money! It has always been a ridiculous amount of money thrown in the cars? Who cares? That $500 Million dollars they could spend isn’t mine?
· No Cheapo’s! – I want big names with loads of dosh! Max has caused this season to be so dull that I would rather watch a snail race…. If USF1 want to get involved with such let them, the big teams have big money! Meaning big expensive cars and big expensive drivers
· F1 has always been the pinnacle of single seater racing? We don’t want to make the cars smaller? So FOTA will give us the huge cars with awesome aero! V10 engines! Vroom, Vroom
· Williams F1 – If Williams stick it out they can dominate the New F1! With Force India! While the big boys play with there big toys! In FOTA S.L
· More excitement! 2008 – Best season ever! Now that had big cars? Big names? Loads of cash being spent on the mean machines? 2009 – crappy cars, crappy season, a boring book of a year! So why doesn’t Max see this? FOTA will give us what we want!

Al the facts are there, it’s up to you to see what F1 is becoming? FOTA will give us the fans what we want! We will have everything needed to have our ol’ Lass back of a sexy sport! Rather than this dull season! Jenson winning is great and everything? But where’s the action? Where’s the Hamilton’s and Massa’s? Jenson should be winning! But in a more competitive environment! I want Jenson battling everyone, not just his own strategy! We need a change! And the change is Now!

The FIA have just released a statement to say that they are disappointed with this action, they say the teams have until this evening to register for next season. It goes onto say that they will release the list of teams for 2010 season tomorrow morning

I like the way FOTA delivered a night-time preemptive strike, it's like telling Max where he can stick his Friday evening deadlines.

You know If I was Bernie I would be arranging talks with FOTA next week to help them organise the new FOTA F1 as this is where the money will be next year.

All the worlds best drivers & biggest manufacturers will be in the new series and only in reality one decent team being left in the FIA F1.

so what to think about williams and force india. no engines for next year. my guess is that they are the trojan horses. fota meeting fly on the wall =so you guy's sign up so that max get's smug about how he's broken us [fota] then when we breakaway/you stick it to them and come over w/us and your engine package is assured. ??? hope this theory is valid.

Quite strong words from one of the most respected drivers on the field.

But he's right. If you take F1's 3 largest fan bases, the british, the spanish and Tifosi. They're all going to support the break-away series, because thats where, Lewis, Button, Alonso and Ferrari will be.

Whats the FIA left with. 1 engine supplier, and one historic team with Williams. As Alonso said, it would be a standard engine series, without the top drivers in world.

Can Cosworth supply enough engine for an entire field.

They can get out of their contracts by simply citing that there entries were not accepted.

they will have a clause in there for that.

This is the best wake up news I've had for a while. Bernie and Max get told off, and the real Formula One is going to survive. I could care less about the name, Formula one is NOT what Max and Bernie have in mind...they have lost their way and become all tied up in the power and money they are accustomed to. Good move FOTA...now make it work.

If they try to hold Ferarri to their contract...then they have to give them their agreed to Veto rights...don't they? You can't claim one without giving the other.
