Yup i'm 21 but I know my sh*t when it comes to the history of F1. If Ham Boy becomes even better than he already is and precedes to dominate, I will be happy to watch him do so, despite the fact that I am very far from being a fan of his. All I really want is to see the best driver in a particular season win that year's WDC

 Cant argue with that! Wish I was 21!!!

You sound like you were an old bag - but I know you aren't! :P

I know what the FIA can do to spice up F1 again. They can give each driver an assignable drive through penalty which they can give to the other driver of their choice sometime during the race. That driver would then have to drive through the pits and rejoin, no refueling allowed. For example, Nick Heidfeld might be running in 7th, with Webber 30 seconds up the road. If Heidfeld can get that gap down to 25 seconds, then he can assign his optional drive through to Webber, and perhaps get past.

This would have all sorts of advantages. First, the FIA would be able to introduce the new medals system without having any one driver winning the championship too early. As any driver getting too far ahead would attract more than their fair share of optional penalties being assigned, pushing them back down the order. This would give more drivers the chance to win in any championship year.

The smaller teams would probably attract fewer penalties, which would reduce the gap between the best and worst teams.

Strategy would become more sophisticated. For example, if driver A assigns a penalty to driver B, then driver B might retaliate with a penalty on driver A. But if driver B had already assigned a penalty, then they wouldn't have the opportunity to respond. So choosing the driver to penalise and when to penalise them would be a challenge.

You're surely not serious?

Most seasons that I remember have had a dominant team, whether it be Ferrari/McLaren/Williams etc. Sometimes the dominance is due to the cars, and sometimes the drivers (although the car helps lol)

For me it is not boring, this season is a fairlytale season for a team that was as good as out of F1.

If Button wins, it will be way better than Hamiltons title.

WW

Agreed - I just sit back and enjoy the races and the results, whatever they might be. It's way less stressful this way and more enjoyable than when having a dog in the race.

Button story is great but for me it is boring watching him win over and over again. The stress that came along with the excitement of the title battle is the drug of F1 for me and as much as I am enjoying the Jenson revival I wish it could be more competitive

i dont know whats more boring?

watching button win all the time, or always seeing the two brawns at the front.

I wanted kimi to nail button on sunday, not barichello nail kimi. we could of had a least some excitment of seeinf if button could pass him again.
By the first round of pit stops we know whos going to win the race already, JENSON BUTTON, its getting rubish and making me rather watch qualifying to see if somebody else can beat him to poll or something.

He really shouldnt lose the championship from here, even if red bull or ferarri eventually get faster than the brawns. i really think this season will be over before we leave europe.

Brawn to win the constuctors after singapore and button to win the drives at monza.

I'd have more fun watching the battle for 2nd - 4th between toyota redbull and ferarri lol

nah! No competition!

EDIT Dont get me wrong, he's driven brilliantly! And it will be a fairytale but he hasnt the competition of two on song ferrari's

Correct, but Braun hasn't had the advantage of a whole out of season test schedule or the vast McLaren/Ferrari budgets.

they had the budget of honda (one of the biggest in f1) and about 6 months more time on the car :yawn:

i loved watching Schumacher win as i was aware that I was seeing a genius at work and that it was the modern equivalent of being able to see Fangio notch up his 5 world championships. I'd always wondered at Fangios titles and how it could have been done and watching Schumacher was watching history being made

:scratchchin:

u c?? its times like these I wonder about how long ago it was that they were born. maybe also think flipper was real ??

I think the average age on here ia about 20, but Im no mathematician. :hehe:

im 20 :D

I guess I'm the odd duck merely because of after three decades of following F1 I have never experienced a 'boring season' :) .
