you can get good odds on coral.co.uk for the race
Lewis is 16/1 to win 12/1 second 8/1 3rd

If its rains during the race (depending on how they play it) he his still the best driver out there and depending on were he starts on the grid you would have to fancy him... but 3rd seems a good price for monaco as drivers make mistakes at monaco....... you boys stick with brawn and keep hamiltons price high for me

He may well be the best driver out there, but you only have to look at China to see why rain would damage Hamilton's hopes of a win...

I dunno, I think his wet weather skills are a trifle overrated. If it rains, Red Bull probably have a lock on it, and Brawn are the most likely to follow them in.

Okay we'll stick with Brawn, we'll just take all our winnings too while we're at it.

I agree, he's clearly pretty handy in the wet but I wouldn't count it as a definitive advantage over other drivers in the field, there are certainly others who could lay claim to being the best wet weather driver in the field. Monaco last year was pretty lucky for him, while not being a total fluke. Silverstone 2008 and Fuji 2007 were both also somewhat circumstantial although to be fair, you have to say he did the business on the track.
At Fuji, the Ferraris were taken out of it by the FIA and were the only cars on dry setups while Hamilton had the benefit of full visibility for most of the race. Kimi looked like the master of the conditions in that race to me, with Kovalainen also dragging an average Renault into 2nd after Hamilton arguably was responsible for the demise of Webber and Vettel.
At Silverstone, Kimi was catching Lewis before Ferrari neglected to give him some new wets but Hamilton was MILES faster than everyone once that second downpour hit so fair play to him.

Hamiltons supposed wet legend came about during a race where his team had set up for wet while other teams had gambled on a dry setup. In a downforce car, it matters a LOT. That race aside, I have seen no reason to believe he is a rain master. He can drive in the rain, don't get me wrong...but dominate? Nah.

I am looking forward to the weekend though. Monaco isn't a great place to race, but there is something special about it none the less.

Thats a myth no team would gamble on a wet setup.

's true, a thread with Hamilton's name in the title runs better than 1 with Schumacher's. i'm forced to conclude that the former is somehow better than the latter.
