Small islands make me feel claustrophobic. Some years ago I spent a summer on Jersey - arrived on the ferry from St. Malo with my motorcycle. Narrow roads with speed limits of 40km/h - never got out of 2nd gear :thumbdown: Circled that darn place in less than 20 minutes - water everywhere, no escape :yikes:


have you spent time in sing sing?

Not yet - but Jersey gave me the creeps :twisted:

On top of that, you know everybody can't escape them. Even living in Northern Ireland (1.5 million people) was bad enough in that way. I lost count of how many times I'd be in Belfast or attending a football match and see people with whom I went to school etc. - and I disliked the lot of them. :irked:

I had a few friends (still good friend now, even though they are all in different parts of the world), but, yeah, I thought most people at my school were assholes. :P
