From Beeb site: "Mercedes and Toro Rosso will launch their 2013 cars on 4 February at Jerez, one day before pre-season testing starts."

So i think so far we have:

Jan 31 McLaren
Feb 1 Force India and Ferrari
Feb 2 Sauber
Feb 3 Red Bull
Feb 4 Merc and STR
Feb 5 Williams

Some new updates:
Williams February 19 Barcelona, Spain; they'll miss the first test at Jerez.

and Lotus is rumored to be 1st launch Jan 29 or 30. Romain slipped it on a French TV interview. But of course if it's not confirmed by the team there may be delays.

So Williams have put there's back? Wonder why?

They've had Maldonado testing?

:rofl: apparently they're running the 2012 car at the first test. Maybe they're gonna give it to Pastor and say to him "go on then, Finnish it off, get it all out your system before you get in the new car,"

SF has added a lot of people over the past few years to the team. Pat Fry is absolutely one of their best signings IMO.

Things I noted from this interview:-
* Fry's comments on the wind tunnel and our perceived problems there. He reiterates our problem was correlation.
* Tyre temps especially fronts for Q
* F2012 wasn't really faster in the wet, it was just Nando's skill
* Red Bulls was lucky to get away with a 27 degree pull rod
* McLaren's adjustable brake cooling inlets were originally Fry's idea
* KERS was used to control brake temps during the race
* 15 front wings, 6 rear wings and 18 floors used in 2012
* 2012 Pull rod had negative effect on airflow under the nose.
* Pull rod will stay at front but changed to fix under nose airflow problem
* Expecting other teams to use front pull rod in 2013
* Ferrari can improve on their best status for 2012 pitstops.
* McLaren can have very fast individual pitstops but take risks to get them

On average, Ferrari had the best pit stops. How did you achieve that?

Fry: We still can improve the speed of our stops. There is still a lot of development work in that direction happening on the car, such as the design of the wheel nuts, wheel hubs, brake drums, and the tools like jacks and guns. At the factory we already have an old car fitted with the 2013 suspension design, and the guys are busy practicing with that. Our pit stop average time is good. I know that Sam Michael at McLaren is proud of their pit stop record of 2.3 secs at Hockenheim. But he forgot to mention that their next stop took 11 seconds. And we won the race because we had the better stops on average.

This is the KEY...exactly what I was confused about with Sam Michael's crowing about their quick pitstops! Who gives a sh*t if you make record pitstops, but in the same race you screw up big time and hence lose out in the overall race?? Even Whitmarsh kept on about their 'record' stops. McLaren need to grow up and look at the big picture instead of crowing about small minute achievements which nobody cares about.

Calm down, I don't understand what got you all upset.

Posting on a thread about 2013 car launches to bash a certain team seems a bit silly.

I was responding to a piece of that article, and what I said was just a fact. It wasn't a bash, so sorry to offend you in anyway.

Nice find mate.

I do like the "Mclaren pit stops are so fast because they are reckless" statement.

At the start of the year they were slow and reckless, at least they fixed one part of the problem.
