For those who like quotes:

"The decision to extend the agreement with Felipe Massa for another season was carefully weighed up and not just the obvious one. Nor was it inevitable because of the lack of alternatives, nor was it in anyway guided by the wishes of his current team-mate, because Ferrari alone chooses its drivers. Many knocked on the doors of Maranello, some were considered, but in the end, a logical conclusion prevailed: there is no one better than Felipe to deliver hic et nunc the speed, talent and capacity to work for the good of the team. The Brazilian’s career displays these qualities as does the fact that harmony reigns within the team, which is united and shows solidarity even in the most difficult moments. Fans of the Reds know the score: some decisions are made solely and exclusively for the good of Ferrari. The rest is all idle chatter."

I like their style ;)

So...what does this prove? That Ferrari got the right driver to be No.2, maybe because of Montezemolo's recent "We don't want 2 roosters in the hen house"....who do you think the hen is genius? The guy who just got signed up!

Thank God you never became a lawyer.

i think newey REALLY appreciates the working culture at red bull.

can you imagine how annoying it would be to work for that constant attention seeking xxxxx (rhymes with prick) luca montezemolo.

if ferrari was nt a second faster luca would be immediately telling all the papers "where is the newey we signed?", turning up at races and patting newey on the head in front of all the cameras just be quali then finding all the cameras again during quali so they can capture his frown.

newey has had his fill of bureaucratic corporations. and christian horner i think does not get anywhere near the credit he deserves for utilising neweys skills better than any other team and for creating the calm, logical, winning culture at red bull. christian horner i would rank as the second most important person at red bull behind newey, not vettel who is a very close third.

but that trumvirate, newey, horner, vettel, a mighty combination that vettel would be crazy to break up. and i don't think he could convince newey to come to ferrari with him. it would be a circus.

but no CV in f1 is complete without ferrari on it is it? he has done williams, mclaren, taken a midfield privateer team to the top. just one challenge left. and the triumvirate of alonso, vettel, newey reminds me of the most dominant triumvirate in f1 history, gordon murray, prost and senna. it would be an awesome team if luca gives them time and space they deserve.

That was a pretty good press release I grant you, but isn't quote 2, as a result of the fact that, what is denied in quote1, is actually what happens :P

Well yea, we could speculate it means that; but it could easily mean something else. I don't know. Wouldn't dare speculate on the meaning though...

And yes, that press release was strong. When i read that on Twitter i was like: WTF that was harsh! hehe
(Yes i follow Ferrari in Twitter. And Mclaren too).

Why would Vettel want to leave Red Bull for Ferrari, when Ferrari can't even get proper updates out on their car!?

Ferrari are in attack mode in an attempt to get back in a fighting position for race wins and the championship. The team have recently completed a 'secret' straight line test where a new F2012 chassis was run by Ferrari's young academy driver Davide Rigon.

Nikolas Tombazis, Ferrari's chief aerodynamicst, confirmed this in Ferrari Racing News: "When you have issues with the correlation between the track and the windtunnel, the best thing to do is verify things on track, which we did during a straightline test that we completed last week. We got some very interersting answers and some very clear trends about what was wrong and we believe we have taken steps to recover that."

Notably, Ferrari introduced several updates during the last 4 races that failed to work, and Tombazis even confirmed they actually had a negative effect on the car's performance. The team has however decided to upgrade its own tunnel as they are now sure it has fallen behind compared to newer wind tunnels of other teams. Until those changes are completed, Ferrari will rent other tunnels, notably the windtunnel of TMG at Cologne where the Toyota F1 team was based.

On the other hand, Italian magazine Autosprint found out new parts will be brought to every single of the 4 races left in this championship, beginning with the Indian GP in 7 days time. Despite worries about getting the parts through the Indian border checks, the team still shipped the components from Maranello as they were not ready in time to be shipped from Korea, along with the rest of the team's equipment and the cars.

The new parts for India, as tested by Rigon on 18 October at Idiada, Spain include a different rear wing, changed brake ducts, new aerofoils under the nose cone, changed sidepod panels and different exhaust exits. All these updates have reportedly been verified at Toyota's windtunnel in Cologne.

Seems hardly any teams have their acts together this season. :whip:
