Could but won't. Unions cause nothing more than trouble. That's why I'm totally against them.

You can be against labor unions and think they cause nothing but trouble all you want. As long as you're not against the rights of workers to unionize or bargain as a collective if they see fit. I don't think you're saying that you support corporations creating unfair work environments or unfair labor practices simply to exploit their employees in a poor economy. You know it's all about doing more with less to drive the bottom line.

In another thread you posted this;

I'd love to get given $150,000 (though would prefer it in real currency) per year. That way, I'd be able to afford to eat everyday and be honest with my immediate so-called boss.

Not being able to be honest with your immediate so-called boss seems to be a very pro union sentiment, so you've confused me.

Way off topic I know, but I was curios if you understood that without one side to balance the other things have a tendency to run amok for all.

I'm not against the rights of workers to have a body to stand up for them but it's the people that run the unions that cause the problems. None of them understand simple economics and that once there is no money there is no way to keep something open or to keep people on.

The problem with my immediate boss is (for me) I'm still on my trial period so I can't really say too much yet and for everyone else - family ties.

So, since you likened, Fota to unions...are you saying the head of Fota is the person at fault here? that seems a bit harsh.

WTF are you on about?! I've not accussed anyone of anything. Just said that I'm against unions and don't think that FOTA has achieved anything of any use for a while.

She had some good policies looking back and made some unpopular but essential decisions. Just a pity we don't have someone like that running the last lot. The country might not be is such a mess.

You brought in unions saying Fota is like a union. In fact this is what you said.

FOTA is long overdue being disbanded as it is totally pointless. All they do is add to controversies in F1 like with the EBD earlier this year. Much like the unions, they are nothing more than trouble makers. The teams are there to race, not sit gossipping and drinking coffee.

You then went on to say

[I'm not against the rights of workers to have a body to stand up for them but it's the people that run the unions that cause the problems. None of them understand simple economics and that once there is no money there is no way to keep something open or to keep people on.

So, to sum up, you said FOTA is much like a union, troublemakers and if you look at the part Ive bolded, its the fault of those that run thse organisations. So that was WTF I was on about, your contradictions.

There are no contradictions in what I write. Unions are trouble-makers and I am against them. I am for workers rights but the unions go about things in a way which I can't and don't agree with. My issue with FOTA is that it achieves nothing and is thus pointless. It is a form of union for the teams but seems to resemble a knitting cirlce.

Don't really think I can make this any clearer.

Yeah right. Clear as mud

Blue collar worker against unions? :yikes:

And one who supports Thatcherite policies! Shocking isn't it?

Ah well, each to their own.

Never said I was a blue collar worker and I never said I supported Thatcherite policies, just that had there been a leader in the UK who had the stones to make unpopular decisions in the last lot then the UK wouldn't be in such a mess now. Try reading for a change.

Just banter, my friend, wasn't seriously accusing you of anything. :)

What would fraffypants do? WWFD.

Fraffy gets a bit too hot under the collar, but the guy talked sense. And he was entertaining.
