I'm not phased. Red Bull will continue to dominate. Perhaps they will set up a car that's quicker in the race, but as Vettel is a qually freak, I think that he can eak out a few tenths here and there and still get that car on pole. Just as he showed his potential in a Toro Rosso, I expect him to be fine qualifying in the car that isn't the fastest.
I do think that the changes mid season are unfair, it's like changing the off-side rule in the middle of a season in football. Or maybe that's a little too extreme.
Newey is getting the speed from many different areas of the car. In qually their biggest advantage is DRS, hence, if they start from the second row in Valencia, expect Vettel to charge up there with his DRS.
In regards to the circuits, I like Catalunya and I think it's a very crucial race in the calender because it's a track for car performance, not a showpiece. Which ever constructor performs best at Catalunya usually is setting the benchmark for the rest of the season. Hence it's a really important part of the calendar from a fan's perspective to compare performances and which team's upgrades are working. Driver skill in a Catalunya basically accounts for nothing. All the drivers love driving around Catalunya and we all love driving around it on our video games. It just sucks to watch it, that's all.
It's actually one of my favourite circuits. Behind Suzuka and Spa I'd say.
I've never successfully watched a race in Valencia, but the on-board laps seem to show to me that it's a pretty cool circuit. I think it has a bit of character, but I will finally see for myself if I manage to stay awake this time...
