I was 100% behind Ferrari and Michael the year Renault won.

And I even supported Ferrari in 2007 because I wanted Kimi to win the WDC that year! My hate for 1 individual is far greater than my hate for Ferrari. But now the unity of that individual and Ferrari has made F1 a lot less complicated again.

Well - that's what makes Alonso who he is - he knew that whatever the press would say it wouldn't matter. Like one magazine puts it, he almost challenged them to take their best shot.

So really his ability to block out all these factors that could distract him, make him a cool WDC. That's what I was trying to say in my earlier post, that he didn't give a crap how other people felt....

so youre just an anti Alonso fan first, McLaren second? I dont see why you wouldnt have gone for Lewis in 07 if you didnt like Alonso?

I was...rooting for renault in 06...check out my avatar! Thats an Alonso top BIG mistake, HUGE! Ah well, we live and learn. No mistake in supporting Renault. Big mistake in supporting Alonso!

RBR does not need anymore advantages,

they need to finish every race for the rest of the year and they will have the WCC and WDC

Almost certainly WCC but if they consistently finish behind Alonso, especially if Felipe or a Mclaren get in between the WDC will slip away.

Just found this little bit of info regarding Red Bull's qualifying pace, not really sure where to post it but it's fairly relevant to this thread:

Q. (Frederic Ferret - L'Equipe): The Red Bulls seem quickest in qualifying, so for the two Red Bull drivers can you explain why it is so fast and do you think you will have the pole on Saturday? For the three others, do you think you can beat them and do you have a special thing to beat them on Saturday?

MW: Well, obviously Seb has had a good run in qualifying. He has had a few pole positions and I have had some poles as well. As you say the car is pretty quick on Saturday afternoon. We have adjustable front ride height suspension which has been running since the start of the year and that works well and then we put the car back up for Sunday. Lots of things have been good for us and we try to do the same job on Saturday.

SV: As Mark said we have this big lever for the ride height. I think that is the secret for Saturday.
