He might win the WRC then come back to F1 and win the WDC in a Ford Focus?

Citroen and their sponsor Red Bull have offered contract to Kimi. He will get bigger salary than 6 titles man Sebastian Loeb who get 6m € in last year.

Seems odd...It's not like they get a lot of promotional value out of it.

I feel like he needs a tribute thread, or maybe a shrine. Feels a bit strange considering how little I liked him at the beginning of the year. :crying:

There goes my dream 2010 McLaren team :crying:

I hope he does come back but if he left because of £1-2m then he obviously wasn't motivated enough.

He's WRC bound apparently.

Might watch that more next year.

That makes sense, he did look a lot happier in the Rallying footage compared to how he seemed in F1.

It´s been reported here that he will go to Mercedes...I hope so.

I wouldn't like to see Kimi taking a sabatic year.

I found it only here: http://gpinsider.wordpress.com/2009/11/ ... s-ab-2011/

and here: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2931 ... es-in-2010 (but this one is based on the brazilian source)

There are lots of brazilian websites saying that as well, but all of them is based on the same source, Lito Cavalcanti - SporTV journalist.

Gosh, I hope Merc choose Heidfeld over Britney - if the reports are true.

Although I would thoroughly enjoy seeing Kimi walk all over Britney.

It will be good for the sport, so they'll get a fair bit out of it.
It will attract alot of new fans, I mean alot on here alone have said they will watch [more] rally if he goes there.

"The option in Formula One was to be at McLaren or nothing. Kimi and McLaren were unable to come to an agreement, so he will not drive in Formula One, at least not in 2010. Kimi only wants to be in a team where he can fight for the World Championship, F1 will miss him, I'm sure. He fought hard this summer at Ferrari to develop the car and was able to improve it."
