McLaren are using this as a bargaining chip, and I suspect Button is doing the same. He has made no secret of wanting to stay at Brawn, provided he gets the money he wants. But, in case McLaren are seriously thinking of hiring Button: wise the f*** up. I don't want that waste of space anywhere near McLaren.

Imho JB would be foolish to leave a WDC,WCC team like BrawnGP. Just because McLaren has a great history who is too say that BrawnGP will not have a great history? Now it would be another story all together if JB wanted to go to such a great and historic team but he has not mentioned it as far as I know?

Say what you really think why don't you? :hehe: I've never heard anyone refer to the current world champion as a waste of space before!

Button wants to go where the money is.

McLaren won't pay mega-money for Jenson; unless they really are that desperate to get that #1 back on their car!

Hopefully this is just a bargaining tool to get Kimi to sign up to McLaren quickly because I do not want JB at McLaren I would rather have Kimi. Saying that I would rather have JB than HK.

Brawn winning one championship after massive rule changes, a big budget and with two or more years car development against poor opposition counts for little. And Brawn are well on their way to becoming the Mercedes works team. Brawn cannot be mentioned in the same breath with teams such as McLaren, Williams, Brabham, etc.

The truth hurts. Pretty much because of the reasons I have just mentioned, Button's championship donation is nothing special. He is a joke champion. Rather than put a gutless, substandard idiot like Button in the car, I'd rather McLaren looked at other people already in Formula One or signed another young driver, to build for the team's future.

I certainly don't agree with your comments about JB; he certainly isn't a joke champion and his determined drive in Brazil proved that he isn't gutless, JB was being sensible; protecting his championship lead. I don't want to see JB at McLaren either as I believe it'll be his downfall as I suspect that McLaren will favour golden boy Lewis Hamilton. Speaking of LH; he didn't exactly win his championship in emphatic style either; is he a joke champion as well? Bottom line is; the driver with the most points come the end of the season is champion; regardless of personal opinion; Jenson is as worthy a champion as Lewis or Kimi before him!

If I were to give this comment the response it deserves (and is crying out for) then I'd probably be banned for profanity.

Maybe when you've won an F1 World Championship, Chris, you'll have a right to comment on how gutless and substandard a person is who's achieved the same - in the meantime I'm starting to tire of your frankly aggressive lack of respect for other people and their opinions. You're not the oracle, other people's considered opinions are just as valid as yours and personally, I'd appreciate a little less of the attitide.

Although I realize your more of a team fan than a driver fan I have my doubt's your opinion and comment's would be so derogatory of JB if he had won the title in a McLaren so I say BS  .

I can't believe that you are seriously trying to compare Hamilton's victory with Button's charitable gift. :rotfl:

Hamilton won the title having had a very good 2007 and 2008. Yes, he made mistakes, but he is very young and is always pushing for wins (except for the Brazilian Grand Prix last season, when McLaren and Hamilton both took the wrong approach), and he was up against a fast Ferrari car. Your representation of Button's 2009 is simply delusional. You make out as though he had everything under control. But this is far away from the truth as you can possibly get. After some of the other teams caught up and after Barrichello got his technical problems sorted, Button was all at sea. He was not qualifying at the back of the grid deliberately, was he?

Eh, yes, it would, so stop being so stupid. I was quick to point on Hamilton's mistakes in 2008, I am quick pointing out Kovalainen's failings, and I was quick to point out how unfair it was when Ryan was the fall guy in Australia. I am no fan boy like yourself, who has only watched Formula One in the last ten years or so and jumped on the Schumacher bandwagon.

I just don't swallow wholesale everything the media say.

Whether or not I'm a Formula One champion is irrelevant. It's another fallacy. The fact is I've been watching Formula One (and other sports) since I was young child and know what it's like to play competitive sport myself (albeit it at a relatively low level), so I am more than qualified to say who is and isn't not a worthy champion. Why I am not criticising other champions? Answer: because they were/are better drivers than Button is.
