Most of Kimis salary if he goes to McLaren will be paid by ferrari, the arguement is over what extra amount McLaren might add. Whatever McLaren pay Kimi, he will not be made number one over Lewis and Lewis will not be number one over Kimi.They will be left to fight it out on the track. And you may get an unpleasant surprise Tony.

Anna .. please.. just drop this hammie is better than thou attitude, I beg you. Ten years from now he will still walk around with the label he's woven for himself and I for one will never even give him a chance even if he may deserve it... he's very low as far as i am concerned.

You guys evidently missed my point. Who was the de facto number 1 at McLaren in the early part of 2007? Yep, Alonso. Of course that all changed, so we shall see through the course of 2010. At this point though, he's proven himself as a driver far, far more than Massa has, therefore is generally accepted as the better driver, therefore is the de facto number one at Ferrari going into next season.
