I hope USGP is on the grid next year and pull's a BrawnGP for the simple fact that I'm sick and tired of the US bashing. No wonder we cannot all just get along as there is still just to much ignorance on this forum.

You do not see this American talking down towards the Aussie's or the Brit's/English so I'm perplexed as to why you two, and you know who I'm referring to, feel the need to do so.:(

I completely agree.

It's funny how most Europeans tend to bash anything American. Like, for example, cars. They claim that American cars are cheap and ill-fitting, but I haven't seen crappier, cheaper-feeling cars than many teeny tiny Renaults, Peugeots, and Opels...

Oh, well.

meh, french cars

It's like that on both sides. I know plenty of people who bash everything that isn't a Dodge, Ford or Chevy. Personally, I think the US needs to make a better quality car with better designs.

It's a good plug for the team. Problem is it'll look really bad now if they're going for the whole us national team thing if they're getting trounced.

I hope they don't showcase it as a full-national F1 team. Kind of arrogant in my opinion. Just dub it as an American race team like anyone else ...looking to win races.

The article?

Is that Peter Windsor as in the same Peter who does the Speed Network broadcasting of GP's?

Yes.

Thanks, good to know.

Gotta finish that article.

Also just realised he got didn't tell us where usf1 are aiming to be in the f1 pecking order

Even if they turn out to be as bloody awful as Minardi it will be good to have another team bringing new drivers into the sport.
Just think... without Minardi there would be no Alonso.

Second thoughts, I am starting to question the whole idea of a USA team

From autosport.com:

FIA impressed by US F1's progress

By Pablo Elizalde Thursday, October 8th 2009, 16:01 GMT

The FIA has been impressed by the work carried out by the US F1 team ahead of its debut season in 2010.

An FIA representative visited the team's factory in Charlotte in August and again earlier this week and said the American squad is progressing very well.

"I personally visited the US F1 Team in August as well as this week, and I am impressed with the progress made by the organization since the Concorde Agreement was signed in late July," Nick Craw, the FIA's deputy president for sport, told Autoweek.

"It has all come together very quickly for the team, and we welcome them into Formula 1 competition in 2010."

Team boss Ken Anderson said he was proud with what the team has achieved so far.

"We have had an open dialogue with the FIA since the team's inception in 2008, and we welcome their visits to the United States," said Anderson.

"We are proud to show them that, despite what is currently circulating in the rumor mill, our Charlotte shop is fully operational and we are well under way to construction of a unique U.S.-designed Formula 1 race car."

The team's first car is already being built at its factory and is expected to be ready to run in January.
