At least with Vegas we might see a return of the Caesars Palace Car Park GP.

You shouldn't even joke about things like that. :nono::nono::nono:

Yes it has been a very difficult market for F1 to maintian a race in. Yet I must ask you if you think there is more of a TRUE interest in F1 in China, Turkey etc etc? The only reason those country's have a race is because they want to put their face on the map as other than a 3rd world country and they were willing to bow to BE's arrogance and astronomical cost. Abu Dhabi and Bahrain only have a race because they are rich with oil supply's and paying BE's cost was nothing more than a mere irrelevant hurdle.

What we have here is a battle of ego's between the american's and Bernie. I could go on and on about why we deserve a race but it's nothing that has not been said before.

You cant really say that the US should have a race because China, Turkey and whoever cant/dont draw support.

By putting in a race in the US that wont draw support because there is ALREADY races that dont draw support is not really the way to improve the sport. It is just allowing the sport to stay/or become mediocre. If you dont mind the fact that a race will be add that will not improve or atleast try to improve the sport so you (not you directly per se) can go to a live event, thats fine. Im not judging or trying to put you down as a person. I just dont think adding races anywhere, when you will know it will be below mediocre, is a good thing.

Its just my opinion that there shouldnt be a race in the US. If there is im still going to watch, and if it is a good race, enjoy it.

Why? Indy was usually quite full. If anything, there should be two races in the US. There are a lot of fans over there on both coasts and between, the US car market is the number one market for a lot of the manufacturers and it is the Formula One World Championship. There is every reason to go and race in the US.

They cant even support one race, how are going to have 2
The Indy was "quite full" in 2000. From then till 07, half capacity was the standard. After the Bridgestone thingy in 05 (6 car race was fantastic! ), then the Sch-Barichello thing the Indy was pretty much abandoned by the FIA. There will not be another race at the Indy.

91 was in like Phoenix?? 20,000 spectators at the most. I think im even being generous here.

You probably wont get back the crowds that went to Dallas, Detroit, Long Beach and Watkins back, its been to long since f1 racing was a "big deal".

Vegas was crap and had very few spectators. I dont even think Watkins could handle a F1 race to be honest.

"the US car market is the number one market for a lot of the manufacturers" its not for Ferrari, Renault, Mercedes, maybe Toyota, maybe BMW.

Just because it saying WORLD championship doesnt mean US HAS to be in it. US has as much right as say Russia or Pakistan.

That was when apparently a local Ostrich competition drew more attention wasn't it?

It's a shame because I liked the Phoenix street circuit.

Absolutely wrong: The US is by FAR the most important market for Ferrari! :banghead: Also for Renault if you include Nissan, Mercedes is desperate to get a US GP going.

No i am not including Renault, the vast majority of the people that will watch a US F1 race will only see Renault, they wont think of Nissan. "We dont have those, what the hell is that."

Im too lazy to look it up but i though Germany was the most important market to Ferrari. If it is the US well there you go, its the number one market for 1 team.
