My views on the new rules.
Well KERS everyone has agreeed to bin it,and rightly so.

No refueling:it's a tough one for me didn't like it when it first came in,but over the years its grown on me.Like "McLaren fan" said earlier in the topic it adds to TEAM tactics, which after all is what is aimed for rather than the wdc. Also with the way aerodynamics have gone overtaking is tougher and so it added something to the racing.
But having said that only having to come in for tyres now puts more pressure on the stop itself.I remember before refueling McLaren doing a stop in about 5 secs and laughing at the FIA sorry Ferrari boys taking an eternity to do it(not the case now I know).
Qualifying : oh yes great to have it back.
Well I've been woffling on for long enough looking forward to A McLaren dominated season next year (IF ONLY  )

I assume he means it's great to have low fuel quali back deciding pole position.

With the notable exception of Williams. And speculations are that more teams might jump ship eventually.

KERS could save fuel by being on all the time..

They say It's Greener for the enviroment, so it must save fuel somehow.
KERS hasn't work at all. The Spainish GP last year saw 2 overtakes. This year it doubled to 4. Catalunya is a hard place to pass but it's like that at all the tracks, may not china this year because it was in the rain.
Overtaking hasn't improved much

you could also say that overtaking was 200% that of last year. so it has worked. I agree not enough but it has

:banghead::banghead::banghead: Going 2 overtakes to 4 overtakes is only 100% :wavey:

No one can use it unless they get the Cosworth engine and then have there own KERS system i think Williams are the only ones capable of doing this.

Correct  4 is 100% more than 2 or it is 200% (100% = 2). :wavey:

its an increase of 100%, the two is 100% on its own, hence adding another 100% means adding another 2, damn I hate maths.

Glad nobody on this forum struggled with those maths there.

Are you serious? So if you start with 2 dollars today, and tommorrow I ask how much money do you have today? And you respond 2. Are you going to tell me that you just went up 100% in your money? No, you made no change at all, and so going from 2 one year to 2 the next year is NOT 100%. Doubling is 200%? Please go back to school.

Maybe I should have wrote increase after 100%. Didn't think it was necessary :banghead:

Sorry roki, but Jabberwocky, Frosty and I are right here. Your first statement about 100% was at best incomplete and if taken literally it was completely wrong. Read Jabberwocky's sentence again carefully, ok? So before you try to school others or send them back to school, you'd better check your math skills first.

Uh, yes, doubling is 200%. If we have 2, and it becomes 4, 4 is 200% of 2 because it is twice 2. 2, expressed as a percentage in this example, is 100%. So if you double the value, you double the vale as expressed as a percentage to give 200% of last year's total. You can then subtract the starting value, which gives you the percentage increase (100%). Saying something is X% of a previous value and hat the previous value changed by Y% to reach the new value are very different things.
