Button won't leave Brawn though, certainly not after this season.

 why would he leave a team that has one the greatest strategist/engineer's when they most likely will only get better or atleast be a competitor for the WDC or WCC for the forseeable future.

well if he is racing b grade competition i am sure he wont like the challenge! a driver wants to prove he is the best against the best. and if Alonso Hamilton and co are in another series, most probably one that resembles the current F1 over the Crap MaxF1 then im sure he would want to follow suite!

Regardless of what happens next year; F1 will still be F1, the only driver to say that he won't remain in F1 if the manufacturers leave is Fernando Alonso; personally I won't miss the Spaniard! If the manufacturers leave which they will sooner of later, they have no loyalty to F1! We'll get back to independent teams who are racers first and foremost!

Hi, I just joined the forum to ventilate because this cap thing is really pissing me off. F1 is the "creme de la creme", the best of the best (or should be) and teams must be allowed to spend whatever they think is worth while to achieve their goals. If Ferrari wants to spend 450 million, let them. If Wiliams only has 50 million, though luck for them. Do not misunderstand me, I have been and will always be a Williams fan (and F1-fans from the eighties will understand my nick) but fact is that F1 evolved into a racing class where automobile manufacturers rule. If they are willing to spend that kind of money, let them. If they can't, then the budgets will drop again or teams, like Honda, will be replaced.

All in favour to kick Losely's but, say I.

I think what Max is trying to do is make the sport more competitive. I support the budget cap because it will allow Williams to compete on a more level playing field. What is the point of Williams (or any other small team) competing in F1 if they are destined to be forever backmarkers because the manufacturers can outspend them to get out of trouble. Plus with Bernie's unfair distribution of of TV money the smaller teams will be lucky to pull a profit in these recessionary times.

It cannot go on and so that is why I support the cap. What I don't like is how Max is forcing this on the teams and plucking a random $40mililon figure out of the air. Kicking Moseley's butt won't do much good, he would only enjoy it. :hehe:

It's £40m, which is currently about $64m, which in turn is still too small a figure.
