There are going to quite a few red faces  on this thread if he does get a podium! :hehe:

True enough...but then his fans have been predicting a podium for dear sweet lewis every race this season....and their faces have not been red at every failure. Still, even a stopped clock is right twice a day so maybe Monaco will be the magic race for McLaren....but I doubt it.

:D:thumbup:

I hope he gets a podium finish but as long as McLaren finish in front of Ferrari this season, then i am happy.

Ferrari are saying nothing at the moment ,they really are racing like amateurs.

Hi
Lewis was only seen at the circuit very late today, around 3.50, most of the other drivers had been around all day.
Perhaps he was in th pit offices, who knows.
He sped in past all has fans, very low key, seemed to not want to be noticed. I did not see any autographs. Straight into the McLaren complex ( too big to be called a motor home). Heikki gave about 4 autographs then when in.
I get the feeling that both drivers are "under orders"
more later

Great,i look forward to further reports.. :)

Well, so do i (hope he gets a podium), IF he manages a great drive. As for Mclaren finishing ahead of Ferrari, i highly doubt it, and not just because of Lewis, but because of Heikki and the MP.

Ferrari are saying nothing at the moment ,they are really are racing like amateurs.

Nothing?? have you not read statements from Massa, Kimi... and even Dimontezemolo on the FIA affair. They have been the most most outspoken team this week! Not that it matters. But if that is your idea of a cheap shot... enjoy yourself :)

Besides, if they are keeping quiet at the moment, then its probably because we all know what the questions will be about.

Not a cheap shot at all,it's the truth.

Right now Ferrari are getting owned,up to this point they have had a poor showing, far worst than McLaren.

Don't take my word for it though, just look at the constructors board and the drivers board. McLaren, even with the poor car they have are out performing Ferrari in both driver and constructors boards.

Is it your belief that he is driving last year's car this year in Monaco? Do you believe the other teams will be driving last year's cars as well? If yes, please disregard this post and seek professional help. If no, then please read my post again and attempt to grasp it. Car setup has never been his strong suit and this year the McLaren is a handful to setup. Last year it was not. I know you believe your sweet Lewis is all knowing and all seeing...but I believe otherwise. We shall see this weekend. Are you up for a friendly wager then?

Every time I read your anti Hamilton post's just reinforces more and more what I believe, that the vast majority of the civilised world hates American's, and you are a prime example of arrogance which reinforces that belief.

well look how much ferrari improved with there updates who's to say Mclaren won't

its been one of those up and down seasons.

Just so we're clear, I have no idea where Lewis will finish, the McLaren pace changes from race to race.

I just wanted to intercede that Ferrari jumped so far so fast because of the scale of their upgrade. McLaren are making smaller iterations and at every race.

I'm just going to let that nonsensical response stand on its own. It doesn't warrant an actual response.

What has being American got to do with anything? Choose your words carefully. :slap:

Exactly, Hamilton isn't American, not that nationality has anything to do with this thread :S

He's gonna have to be fairly reserved if he wants to finish the race in a car he's not totally confident in. He definitely won't be driving it like his previous Monaco races, if he touches the wall I doubt it'll just be a puncture. Points, possibly, podium, probably not imo.

Could Kers make a difference in quali and the pit stop windows? If yes, is the car actually good enough to take any advantage from it? Be interesting to see but I don't hold much hope tbh.

you can get good odds on coral.co.uk for the race
Lewis is 16/1 to win 12/1 second 8/1 3rd

If its rains during the race (depending on how they play it) he his still the best driver out there and depending on were he starts on the grid you would have to fancy him... but 3rd seems a good price for monaco as drivers make mistakes at monaco....... you boys stick with brawn and keep hamiltons price high for me
