I think I'm right in thinking that DC hasn't been given an OBE or MBE. Disappointing that he hasn't been awarded an honour after 15 years of service to British motorsport.

Yeah but DC didnt do too good.You have to do good to get the award not just stick around for ages.
Congrats Lewis!! Yes Ron deserves the knighthood and Moss deserved an award despite no actual championship. Max desperately wanted to be Sir Max but he blew it when he screwed whores Nazzi style

DC did fine im comparison with many many drivers throughout the history thank you very much.
His success nose dived nearer the end of his career and yes he didn't have just what it took be a world champion, but he's achieved alot more than other drivers ever did or will.

Hes average. And yes that means he's better than many. Doesnt deserve an award tho . Sorry

Maybe so, but then neither does half of those living with Royal titles in the UK at the moment.

Oh absolutely! They've done nothing to deserve theirs but we were talking here about titles awarded for doing something special.

What you will find EwmanM is that Prost always looked to be going slower than everyone else because he was so smooth but was one of the fastest, if not the fastest, car on track. Good on you watching the classic's they are great.

Murray Walker and James Hunt's commentaries during those years made the races even more enjoyable, as did the sound of the turbos and then the (back then) new 3.5 litre V10's, V8's and V12's, the colourful variety of cars, the sleekness of the cars, the large over-subscribed fields with pre-qualifying to send the slowest Home early and the old classic tracks that are either gone, not used anymore or still there but ruined by Hermann Tilke. It was never the same after Hunt's untimely death, let alone Murray's retirement from the mike.
