 for a fantastic career David Coulthard. And it's not over yet. I hope they fuel him light in Brazil to give him a chance of starting close to the front. To get a point or two would be a great way to finish his already sterling career. The most points ever won by an F1 driver who hasn't won the championship. Not bad going when his head's such an interesting shape. Good on you DC

If he ends up, somehow, in the lead near the end I do think they should let him win

Eh? I think DC would hate that, and it's really not right and not done. The only even comparable example I can think of is Hawthorn refusing to put a lap on Fangio at the French GP in 1958, but that was FANGIO, and we're talking about David Coulthard.

No driver has ever won his last F1 race. Not Fangio, not Clark, not Stewart, not Prost, not Senna, not Schumacher.

There's a first time for everything :)

If DC gets in to the lead, I don't think Lewis or Felipe would want to try passing him, given his record this year, so he might win it because of that :hehe:

I'd like him to get a podium, or at least be well in to the points, because his career warrants it. :)

FM would try to pass him because he needs to for the title.

Good. A collision is highly likely. Either Massa will turn in on him too early, or Coulthard will do something stupid. :hehe:

DC will have a special livery for his final Grand Prix.

David Coulthard’s Red Bull will be emblazoned with a special charitable livery for his final Grand Prix. Coulthard will promote the research foundation, Wings For Life, which hopes to find a cure for spinal cord injuries, over the course of this weekend’s Interlagos event.

“I'm dedicating my last race to the vision of making paraplegia curable,” said the Scot on Red Bull's official website. “In Formula One success is determined by a few seconds, in medicine people think in terms of years.

"But in both disciplines, ambition and commitment are crucial factors that are needed in order to reach the finishing line as soon as possible. Wings for Life helps to accelerate the breakthrough in spinal cord research.”

Coulthard, 37, officially unveiled his RB4’s livery on Thursday afternoon, with the help of some of his fellow drivers in the Brazilian Grand Prix paddock

That's a pretty cool livery, it'll probably encourage Coulthard to not put it in the wall. :P

That's a great gesture. His retirement will get a lot of attention, so it's sure to raise awareness for the charity.

It is, I really dig it. I'm glad its not a let down like Toyota's pathetic Dark Knight livery.
