I honestly thought singopore was a borefest for the race this year, what actually happened? No safety cars and I think lewis just ended up zooming off into the distance. . .

The city looked nice, but I watch free practice to take in the sites.

If my memory serves me correctly, there was actually a safety car, and Vettel, who had been snapping at Lewis' heels at the beginning, destroyed his own race with a drive-through penalty. And of course, it was even more memorable that Lewis won it!

Was it the one with a safety car which caused a high speed follow but no overtaking at all?

Safety car was deployed on lap 21 because of an accident involving Sutil and Heidfeld, and lasted till lap 26. Because of the safety car too, Rosberg could not serve his drive-through penalty, and he was demoted to 14th after serving his penalty 2 laps later. He ended up finishing the race in 11th position. For a while after that too, it was really a fight for first position between Lewis and Vettel, with both of them taking turns for fastest lap. Haha, and Alguersuari did a Massa too!

F1 was one of the best things ever, to have come to Singapore. It puts tiny Singapore on the international world map, and showcases Singapore brilliantly to the whole world. I'm sure that must of you were impressed with the sights and sounds of the beautiful Flyer, the new-style skyscrapers, contrasted with the old-style colonial buildings, all surrounding the Marina Bay circuit.

I doubt it, I for one didn't see much of Singapore at all. You can't really see it in the background during the race and I've trained myself not to bother looking at "National Identity Montages"

Well, I was at the race, and I thought everything was really quite spectacular.

Sure, I'm just saying it doesn't come across as well on TV.

i'd keep it. it's awesome as a spectacle, can't really see any other circuit on the calendar at the moment being able to match it. you might not get great action on the track but I can cope with one or two poor races per year. i'd prefer to know what it is Valencia offers.

Yup no problem, you're entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to mine, though I really think that you should make a trip down to the Singapore GP someday, cause the surroundings and scenery are really breathtaking indeed and I think you'll probably be impressed. :):)

It's a bit out of my budget.

Personaly I like the track and all that is entailed with it and the whole ambiance of the city. I also think we as a forum have way too many "half empty glass's" and not enough "half full glass's". It seem's the pessimistic view outweigh's the optimistic view in F1 now days and that is a huge problem and/or issue with F1 as a whole.

People/member's biatch about how F1 is being torn to pieces without realizing that change is inevitable, like it or not, and one must also realize and admit what is more important to them and that would be the track's OR F1 as a whole? As I have mentioned hundreds of times before I only care about F1 as a whole and it's future so where ever they want to race I'm all for it.

Be happy don't be sad  ,

Actually, a Formula One trip to Singapore need not be too expensive. Singapore GP tickets can be as cheap as S$30 (Friday practise) and S$100 (race day), and accommodation-wise, there are cheap, reasonable budget hotels where you can stay, as long as comfort and ambience isn't top of the list. :)

But it is really an experience in itself - not only the Formula One race, but a trip to Singapore as a whole. It's a beautiful place. :):)

It's gettting there that is pricey

Yeah. I can't really justify dropping that kinda cash to get to SIngapore to see a race when there's a much better race right here in the UK.
