Today we have wind!! But heavy snow forecast for the end of the week.

Yeah it's windy all over Europe at the moment, I got woke up several times last night due to it and normally I'm a very very heavy sleeper.

Define "heavy snow"

they have been saying we will have a lot of snow since October. However there does seem to be a different chill in the air of late.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who heard and noticed that they had been saying we'd be getting lots of snow from so early on, I was hopeful that we'd have snow at Christmas. I've never had a snowy Christmas before, the closest was 2010 when we had snow on the 20th but it had melted by the 22nd :(

I've not noticed a different chill in the air because I'm always cold as it is :( my toes are always like iceicles like right now they're cold even though they're sitting on a hot radiator!

America has had a :censored: load of snow and they hate it, send it ALL to me and I'll give it some love :P

And, that might be another way you can tell the difference between a Canadian and an American!!
We Canadians love our snow!!

I recognized snow only when I went to Switzerland last year (went once to UK when I was a kid so that doesn't count) and found out I get tired of it very quickly. It was very exciting the first week when it fell hard, but after that I wasn't enjoying the fact that I had to watch every step outside when travelling to uni and back. Plus when it gets iced up, you don't even see the ice at night and it's too easy to trip up and splat on the ground! Which happened once to me.

I'm going over to ski at Les Arc today. It's over the other side of the mountain opposite. Not skied there before. Weather today is glorious! And it snowed all day yesterday so conditions should be good :):)

Watch out for the layer snow, don't want to be starting an avalanche.

When I went they had an avalanche safety team who were up the mountain just after the big snow flurries checking for the soft snow layers we actually got to watch a controlled avalanche which was awesome!

We're getting another 10 - 15 cm here in the GTA!! Image

We ended up with 28cm on February 5th... that's 6cm more than the average accumulation for the whole month of February!! :DImage:D

I hear the blasting every morning when they do the controlled avalanches. It's particularly bad this year because it's warm and there's not a deep base of snow,

This was me at Les Arcs yesterday

Six friends come out today :D:D:D they land at Chambery in about an hour, very excited!!

Four guys and two girls coming out and there is a reason why each one of the guys cat drive!! :yikes:
Chris- had some issues with fainting and is now stressed out by driving
Chris' boyfriend- too scared
Nikki's boyfriend too young
Eleanor's boyfriend- I've forgotten his reason, but he can't so it either.
So Nikki and Eleanor have to drive the people carrier up the mountain and they're shitting themselves because there's snow.

I hope the boys are of a little more use when it comes to putting the chains on, because I suspect Nikki and Eleanor will be hopeless at that Oooo my nails...Oooo cold.....Oooo too stiff...Oooo won't fit. :hehe: and they can hardly stand in the road doing the helpless female routine while four guys are sitting in the car!

We are still talking about putting chains on the wheels right... haha

It's painful seeing girls try and fail to do things that guys normally do.

Yeah I don't know what buddha bar music was either. Just assumed it was music that Buddhists listen to lol
