Just returned from my official firearms qualification course and I kiiled that darn target :hehe: . If the total score was tallied I finished first in my class of 44 cadets but was given the highest minimum passing score of 175. The reason they score like that is for liability reasons in the future. This is how my target looked after 50 rounds of ammunition, on friday we go back and take our shotgun qualification.

Whose face did you imagine as you were shooting?

No face just center mass ie all the vital organs  .

You can't imagine a face on a centre mass? Or imagine your shooting someone centre mass with a particular face. I suppose you could imagine a particular centre mass

Everyone has their own technique but for me it is not a face it is strictly about shot placement.

Thats cool finishing first.

Yah it is kinda cool but knowing I can make shots that count is more satisfying. Todays event was timed and you had to make all the required shots, switching from hand to hand and from a standing to kneeling position etc etc, within the alotted time frame given.

Ermm positive, positive? im designing my first tattoo

Looking forward to the final design and the results :) .

Returned from my trip about an hour ago from applying at the sheriffs dept I'm hoping to join. The weather here is blue blue blue sky's with a temp of around 70F so it was a fantastic day for a drive through the countryside. I love small country towns and the people aswell so it was a great day. :)

Thanks mate :) . It is really starting to sink in now that I'm only 8 weeks away from graduating and hopefully my initial application will go well with the dept I am applying with next week. Thanks for all the kind words and support.

Just wanted to share a few things that you all may find either amusing and/or enjoyable. Firstly only 5 weeks to go before I graduate :cloud9: !!!!!! Secondly another fellow cadet from our academy stopped by to say hello last friday and he works for a small town PD such as I'm persueing. Now here is the kicker he went from a patrol position to detective within only 4 months so there is ALOT to be said for small PD's. I spoke with the chief of the dept I'm persueing and all patrol positions are currently filled but there is an opening for a court officer, great position and I will still be 'Chuck Sledge' (ie fully certified police officer) but things can and will change before I graduate so who knows but I'm not gonna be picky.

Oh the second part is that I learned just last week that one of my fellow cadets is the granddaughter of Willie Nelson, backstage passes and barbq's are on my horizon with the great Willie :drink: .
