Just returned from my official firearms qualification course and I kiiled that darn target
. If the total score was tallied I finished first in my class of 44 cadets but was given the highest minimum passing score of 175. The reason they score like that is for liability reasons in the future. This is how my target looked after 50 rounds of ammunition, on friday we go back and take our shotgun qualification.

!!!!!! Secondly another fellow cadet from our academy stopped by to say hello last friday and he works for a small town PD such as I'm persueing. Now here is the kicker he went from a patrol position to detective within only 4 months so there is ALOT to be said for small PD's. I spoke with the chief of the dept I'm persueing and all patrol positions are currently filled but there is an opening for a court officer, great position and I will still be 'Chuck Sledge' (ie fully certified police officer) but things can and will change before I graduate so who knows but I'm not gonna be picky.
