I still don't have the money to make any meaningful changes.

The good result for my team here along with Vettels misfortune let me swap Schumacher for Vettel but I think I'm gonna be stuck with HRT for a while. Not sure how useful the betting's gonna be for singapore.

Really spoilt for choice now. Want to bring Webber in as talent for the next round but would it really be worth dropping one of the top 4 in the title race? Tempted to drop Raikkonen but then i know the bugger would finally win (although i guess that is still good for me). Problems, problems... :P

I still don't have the money to make any meaningful changes.

I took safety car and Ferrari on the podium. Can you not even get Caterham in for HRT?!

A lotus driver to win at 13/2 odds will pay eventually. :hehe: Finally I've got a decent team, but today was bittersweet. Hamilton is my talent driver, but no points for Vettel or Webber.

The fantasy giveth, and the fantasy taketh away. :banghead:

That's the bets I had too, probably go for Ferrari on podium in next race too and with the closed track the safety car might be worth a shot again unless rain is predicted.

The problem with trying to climb up bit by bit is the transfer fees making it take longer while not really scoring much more.

This race was horrible for me. First, Grosjean was banned. Then Vettel retires. Then Webber retires. ugh. But hey, at least d'ambrosio finished and my Talent driver won.

Hopefully Red Bull will be more competitive now that we're done with these high speed circuits. Otherwise I'm f'ed.

I think this Fantasy League is pap. We need a different one for next year. They still have Button as the most valuable driver...? Are they loco....?

(although this was my highest scoring round - thanks Hamilton and Perez....)

And Hamilton and Massa have equal value!

I think the game scores consistency more than actual results. It rewards too much sometimes or too little some times and doesn't take into consideration a driver's entire performance to date. That's why a driver with a crappy season goes stratospheric if he has two races where they over perform.

It's easier to just ignore the flaws and just exploit them where you can. It's a little too late in the season now to have too much of an impact given that there are limitation in what you can move around.

But I guess it's easier to just say it's a FANTASY league not a reality league, so you play within the confines of that. This league is better than most and it's free and they don't try to sell you anything. They'll continue to tweak the rules to improve things. I've played ones where teams and engines mattered way more than the drivers, and vice versa... this at least does weigh performance for both and you can score a good haul of points from both which I like, but it's still wildly fluctuating with extremes.

I know what you're saying and agree that the fluctuations from race to race are less limiting with regards to what changes you can make, I would like to see the actual championship positions have some bearing on how the drivers values are calculated though.

You have to pay to enter all the best ones. This is the best free one i could find. It does the job ok, it's fun and something to talk about :)

Yeah... if you're winning. If you're closer to the tail end, it's not so much fun.

Also, drivers are de-valued way too much if they retire due to circumstances out of their control - like being a victim of a crash. Granted, sometimes that can be a judgement call, but in situations like Spa turn 1 last week, I don't think Alonso's price should have been reduced by an automatic $4M (like 20%).

And teams should be devalued more when cars suffer reliability problems, and less when the drivers crash. Just like drivers should be devalued less with car reliability problems, and more with crashes that are their fault.

But like WB said, you just have to recognize the faults and take advantage of them. When one of your guys perform above expectations, no matter how much you like them, you trade up to someone who performed under expectations that week.
