Granted, sometimes that can be a judgement call, but in situations like Spa turn 1 last week, I don't think Alonso's price should have been reduced by an automatic $4M (like 20%).
And teams should be devalued more when cars suffer reliability problems, and less when the drivers crash. Just like drivers should be devalued less with car reliability problems, and more with crashes that are their fault.
But like WB said, you just have to recognize the faults and take advantage of them. When one of your guys perform above expectations, no matter how much you like them, you trade up to someone who performed under expectations that week.
