Fair play tsar nonsense found no favouritism! Hamilton finished ahead in the championship table, as a rookie... Of a two times champ team mate! That's an upstage in a big way!

Who was ahead of who in the championship table? :P for a rookie to be level let alone ahead of his team mate who happens to be a 2 times champ is a bit of an upstage in anyones books!

Alonso 4 wins
Hamilton 4 wins
Alonso 109 Points
Hamilton 109 Points

Hamilton had the added advantage of having the team boss publicly state that he and Hamilton were racing against Alonso.

You've forgotten the bit about Hamilton being a ROOKIE, Alonso a two time champion. I hear excuses on here being made for Vettel's erratic driving because he is new to F1 -and inexperienced, he's in his fourth season. Lewis was a ROOKIE.

People seem to forget that Vettel is being favoured and hes not beating Webber? Hamilton was favoured (still desputable though) and he beat the best driver on the grid, there is no, that is, NO excuse for losing out in driver table standings to a rookie as an experienced driver let alone a two time champ and best thing going. Whether your favoured or not.
The sooner people accept what happened instead of passing it off as the Mclaren conspiracy then the better. Hamilton beat him.

Well, I don't call having the same points and number of wins a beating, but your entitled to clutch at that straw if you like.
Hamilton was younger, I'll grant you that. As to how experienced they each were, Fernando was already a double world champion, but Hamilton had more years under contract to an F1 team.

I think both are very good drivers. Lewis had their team boss go on the record that it was him and Lewis racing Fernando, not Ferrari. Given that I'm amazed that Fernando won any races.

I can admit they are both good drivers and I enjoy watching them race. I'd enjoy watching the two of them duke it out on the track in Singapore.

Well frafpdd Spanky shouldnt criticize that, he is for team orders :hehe:

There you go Bud, ascribing something to me that I didn't say.
I don't criticize team orders, and I didn't here either. I simply pointed out the fact that Ron Dennis, the then boss of McLaren, went on the record stating that he and Lewis were racing Fernando.
You're the one that's on record as having problems with teams favouring drivers, although you don't seem to be too indignant about it when Fernando is on the receiving end.

Look at it this way Spanky, If they were tied on points and race wins for the championship it goes on the most highest place finishes to separate them and crown the champion. So hypothetically speaking Lewis would have been champion Fernando 2nd, even though he had the same points and race wins. Simple:wink:

and the "we are racing Fernando" comment came at the second last race of the year, at that point Fernando had already dug his own grave and was all ready on the outer at the team. But hey Spanky so what if the team chooses to favour one driver over the other... i thought you are all for that?

We've got this same argument running on half a dozen other threads. This thread is about Alonso and how the spanish public see him. Can we please not turn this into another tedious ALO vs HAM thread!? :banghead:

Its kindov linked though if your looking at the history of this (perceived) hostility between the drivers and fans.

Spanky-Alosnso was sacked when Ron said we're racing Alonso. He'd blackmailed the team and was history.

Pleasant Sunday morning around here.

On the topic of the television show, rehashed not funny hit you over the head scripted humor... Alonso's publicist is slacking.

Why wouldn't they have a complex? He upstaged their hero and made him go running back to mommy Briatore waiting with open arms at Renault. :D

The only one who went running to daddy's arms was: you know who. He ran into both arms... papa Ham, and mommy Ron. ;)

Pretty insulting to the huge Spanish audience that clearly enjoy the humor of this and all the other episodes of this very successful program. Did you just want to have an indirect dig at Fernando or were you really trying to insult the complete audience that enjoyed the show?
