Nico Rosberg will be their lead driver, with Nick Heidfeld his likely partner according to bbc

Well...s***.

Welcome to Mclaren.

Ron Dennis, Lewis and Martin say Hi.

I don't mind JB being at Whitmarsh's McLaren, it's just I know the car won't suit him as well as it will Lewis (Because they knew Lewis would be there) and we all know where that leads.

:( Happy for Brawn (apart from the loss of their 'independent' status), but it's the end of an era for Mclaren... :crying:

It'd be fun to see what McLaren could actually do on their own, with their own engines and everything. I'd have liked to see that a little sooner.

well they are making their own on their road cars. hopefully its not too far in the future for them.

Crazy news, I did not expect Mercedes to completely turn BrawnGP into a works team. Mercedes Grandprix doesn't have the same ring to it.

I would expect Button to stay with the team now no? I mean it makes sense, they surely will be good now and can afford him.

Nico & Button at MercedesGP and Lewis & Nick at Mclaren?

what!?

The words 'Mercedes Benz' and 'Grand Prix' go together better than any other save perhaps 'Ferrari' or 'Alfa Romeo' 'Maserati' and the rest. They are one of the greatest names to ever grace Grand Prix racing and this works effort is half a century overdue.

Sky sports news seem to think otherwise. They seem to think Button will be going to McLaren. What they know and what is speculation though I have no idea :hehe:

This changes the complexion of Button's trip to Woking entirely. McLaren will have known, Brawn will have known. Surely Button and his manager will have had to have been informed that something was going down, even if it was a subtle hint from Woking. They've been negotiating with two teams in the middle of a transfer of power from Mercedes. It's all but inevitable that Button goes to McLaren now, which means carrying Lewis's water for 1 year or more.
