I agree with your points but has some worries about them as follows:-

2. So not going for the pinnical of motor sport then
6. Costs could go sky high again
7. car moving at walking pace with driver pushing gets shunted by car doing 150mph. could hurt.
12. not cutting edge
14 + 15 what if the golden core of circuits could not support enough tickets sales etc?
20. could you sort out a race in a year?
23. hard to prove

On 12. I was referring to the dimensions of the tyres, because pre-1993 spec tyres had nice big fat rear tyres. ;)

1. Disagree, Engines should all be the same.
2. Nope, It's all about aerodynamics and also for me i think the latest set of F1 car's look the best.
3 + 4 + 5. Sure
6. Disagree, the limitations are good it makes the mechanics and stuff worth harder.
7. I would agree, but health and safety law's would not allow it in certain country's...
8. Sure, but I would only say Monday for car testing, Tuesday for new driver testing.
9. Sure, sounds good but only if all teams have access (can afford, if not then a system would need to be devised so all teams can afford, else it could become quite boring...)
10. Agree, it would make the sport much more enjoyable for all then.
11. I don't understand what you mean from this...
12. Disagree
13. Agree, would be better for the sport
14. Agree defiantly
15. In a way, I would agree with you but then again I would like to see F1 have at least 8 new tracks/not in previous year every F1 season.
16. Disagree, It stops the drivers running slightly wide, it actually harms them if they do.
17. Disagree, I think if a car goes off they have the right to continue if they can keep the car going or get it going again.
18. AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
19. Disagree GREATLY!
20. This would be a VERY welcome change, I would say 1 track the WDC chooses and 1 track the team chooses the other.
21. Agree!!!
22. Disagree
23. Agree, the Rosberg Incident this year was a joke and he should not of been penalised for it, it was a genuine mistake and he gained NO time but actually lost time.
24. In a way, I disagree but agree in another.
25. Disagree greatly, any sponsorships what the product has a known health harm should be illegal.
26. Agree

31. BTCC to return as one of the support races at the British GP and any European GP's held in the UK.

That is the single best idea that will be given in this thread, end of! :P:hehe:

I would introduce the trunk monkey to the sport.
And as I have said before, each driver's race engineer shoul dhave to down a shot of Jack Daniels every time his driver makes a pass. Then all the race engineers have a shooting for distance competition after the ceremony for one extra point.

If I owned F1?
I'd sell it.

I'm coming really late to this thread, so no reply expected, etc. But I would:

1) reduce aero-grip whereever possible. Aerodynamics is/was the end of truly competitive racing
2) Correspondingly, increase mechanical grip wherever possible
3) 6,8,10,12 cyclinders with corresponding limits on revs, size, etc.
4) NO REFUELLING, NO TIRE CHANGES
5) THE REAL NURBURGRING
6) cost caps that include salary for everyone (team presidents, engineers, drivers, etc.)
7) 20 races
8) scoring down to ten places
9) no pit lane girls, no family members allowed on camera
10) no Max or Bernie or Dennis
11) driver lottery at the end of each year, unless a team wants to sign a rookie (I think we need to see Alonso and Hamilton in a Force India)
12) no more driver championship--only team championship (lets make this a real sport--is this the only sport that values the individual over the team--that's a real question, I can't think of any; can you imagine how much more fun football would be if the highest goal scorer was given the championship and his team would be a practical afterthought--I suppose bicycling is like this)
13) three car teams

1. 3 Car teams
2. One tank of fuel per race
3. Half Points for Qualifying
4. Inverted Race grid
5. Salary caps

I would like to see the 'better' drivers driving the worst cars... Maybe a mid season inverted grid race or two awarding double points.

I would make sure that all the Italian, German, Austrian and Japanese teams of the current teams get extra special treatment. Especially Ferrari of course, but would extend to Mercedes GP, Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing. ( I cannot believe there are no more Japanese teams left in F1!). Actually Spanish is good as well so I belive the new Manor team to be from Spain so they to would get special treatment.

I would do the following;

1. Engines to be either 1.5 Litre Turbos with 5 bar boost limit or 3.5 Litre V8's, V10's or V12's. W12's are also welcome as long as they are competitive.
2. Chassis design to be based on late 80's/early 90's designs.
3. No refueling.
4. No mandatory pit stops.
5. No mandatory tyre compound choices, you use what works for you or whatever is available.
6. No engine/gearbox usage limitations, it is up to the team to responsibly manage their equipment.
7. Drivers allowed to push their cars across the line if they run out of fuel near the finish line - but make sure you put your car as close to the inside edge as possible!
8. In season testing after race weekends for any aspiring drivers or test drivers.
9. Unrestricted KERS allowed on non-turbo cars.
10. No diffusers at all. No exploiting loopholes Ross Brawn-style either, anything to us that looks like a diffuser will be barred.
11. Special super-sticky qualifiers re-allowed. Sorts the men from the boys.
12. Tyres to be based on pre-1993 specification.
13. Hermann Tilke tracks not to be used unless they are re-designed significantly.
14. Anybody wanting to have a race on the calendar is welcome, but they must satisfy crowd turnout. Empty grandstands and low crowd turnout will not be tolerated, and any venue failing to fulfill a set minimum crowd turnout will be axed indefinately from the calendar.
15. Silverstone, Spa and other classics guaranteed spots on the calendar, French GP is mandatory.
16. Green asphalt areas to be banned because they are ugly.
17. More gravel traps to be installed, the special new barriers at Paul Ricard are welcome to be used anywhere else.
18. Circuits with very low or flat kerbs to have them made higher, drivers need to be challenged and those who don't like high kerbs can bite my shiny metal arse. (Ok I don't have a shiny metal arse!)
19. USA allowed to have 2 races on the calendar if it wishes.
20. Current World Champion's country allowed to have 2 races on the calendar if it wishes.
21. Drivers encouraged to be more relaxed in Press interviews and not rely on their PR guys. If you want to have a water fight in the press conferences, go ahead, and enjoy!
22. Classic Hockenheim layout to be rebuilt. Existing Tilke track can also stay as long as it is improved.
23. Pit lane exit line rule only to be invoked when a driver crosses it on purpose. Those who do it accidentally should be kindly advised by the stewards, but no action should be taken.
24. Penalties to be dished out less.
25. Tobacco sponsorship allowed, but local laws must be observed.
26. Santander to be banned from designing trophies. All potential trophy designs to be assessed and chosen by an independent panel.

I could probably think of more but I'll leave it at that. ;)

Well I think that would get it back to proper racing
