If anything I'd put Algy in the "promising" group, it's not often you see drivers make the giant step from F3 to F1 straight away without doing GP2 first these days. He did well in his first few races.

Heck no, Algy is poo. He should've waited a couple years before F1. As Mark Webber said, when you come to F1 you should be at the top of your game. You don't come to F1 to learn.

How many DNFs did Button have in 2008? :D

OK, it's pointless arguing. Because I know that you will respond with "How many WDCs does Button have; how many does Massa have?" And then I will have to surrender. :(

Fine then - leave Button there. We will see where he is next year!

If it's any consolation, I'd move Button down too

me too, from that list! :tongue-ani:

No no you missed my point mate look in 08 Massa went front wing first into the barrier first corner in Oz then he went Backward into the Gravel in the next race and then spun god knows how many times at Silverstone.

Button didn't make any major mistakes this year so he scored the points.

Massa is not as good as Button on consistency grounds.

I'd go with this.

1. Alonso
2. Raikkonen
3. Hamilton
4. Vettel
5. Webber
6. Button
7. Massa
8. Barrichello

Ok. :)

I'm not a Massa supporter, nor am I a Button supporter. But perhaps I'm slightly biased being a Red Bull supporter. :hehe:

Hmm, I still think Massa's more talented. If we're judging only on consistency then Heidfeld should be higher, Nakajima's consistently rubbish too  As a package, I'd take Massa over Button any day.

I think Webber is slightly better than Button and we'll see it next year when he's not nursing a leg injury.

I could be wrong but some of his wins this year have been truly dominant i.e Nürburgring

Yeah, I like FM's package better than JB's - and then there's FM's little bum as well :whip:

I had written a list up on the 4th of my order for those who have driven in 2009 and I have watched hundreds and hundreds of videos today and have now got a revised list with some significant changes.

Group 1 - Drivers have proved themselvs to be great drivers to me or are going to prove within the next 5 years.
1. Hamilton
2. Raikkonen
3. Vettel
4-5 Massa and Alonso in NO spesifc order, next year we will see but I will give Alonso some extra props for next year because its a new car.

Group 2 - A Solid group of drivers with some talent just not quite the same quallities as Group 1, just somthing missing for all of them
6. Barrichello (Rubens is 6th over Jenson and Mark because of his experience)
7. Button
8. Webber
9. Nico Rosberg (alot of you I don't think see the true potential in this driver, I want to see him with a good team next year as he to me is Championship material) (PH)
10. Kubica (PH)

Group 3 - Solid group of good drivers nothing special seen in them.
11. Kovaleinen (It was hard to choose between Hekki and Robert)
12. Heidfield (PH)
13. Glock
14. Buemi (PH)
15. Trulli

Group 4 - Solid group of drivers some what could go up a group or two in the next year and some what will drop out.
16. Fisichella
17. Sutil (PH)
18. Piquet (I don't know why so many of you rate Nelsinho so low..)
19. Bourdais
20. Kobayahsi (PH)

Group 5 - These should just drop out, they are not ready or are useless.
21. Nakajima
22. Liuzzi
23. Alguersuari
24. Grosjean
25. Badoer

(PH) = Potential Here, from certain drives and I think if in the right car they could do some damage.
