i was reading this months F1 racing and ecclestone says he has two venue's in mind for the US GP but he doubts it will return to Indianapolis

I wouldn't mind if it doesn't return to Indy - as long as there is a good track for a USGP SOMEWHERE.

Any money says these two venues are a Laguna Seca track ruined by Tilke, and some horrendous street circuit in NY or similar.

No to the USA, never has worked and never will work.

You cannot say something like that without explaining yourself!

No to the USA (as in no race in the usa), never has worked (races in the past have never lived up to F1 standards) and never will work (races in the future will not live up to f1 standards).

This not an insult to American F1 fans, its just that there is not enough of you to support a Grand Prix. Sure you could probably have one next season and draw great support because of the new team, but like always F1 will move on the year after or the year after that. But they will move on again.

Yes it has been a very difficult market for F1 to maintian a race in. Yet I must ask you if you think there is more of a TRUE interest in F1 in China, Turkey etc etc? The only reason those country's have a race is because they want to put their face on the map as other than a 3rd world country and they were willing to bow to BE's arrogance and astronomical cost. Abu Dhabi and Bahrain only have a race because they are rich with oil supply's and paying BE's cost was nothing more than a mere irrelevant hurdle.

What we have here is a battle of ego's between the american's and Bernie. I could go on and on about why we deserve a race but it's nothing that has not been said before.
