Probably the exact same way Schumacher is?
If he is out long enough for his body to get really out of shape (which I don't think he will), it would mean that there would probably only be a few races left in the season. The longer Schumacher is in the seat, the better he is going to get, so unless he is doing really poorly (which I don't expect to happen), why would they replace him for a questionable Massa?
Now here is what I expect to happen: Massa has been recovering extremely quickly, the way things look I see no reason for him to still be recovering at the end of the season. I expect he will be back to a regular training schedule by the time Monza comes around, be testing the old car by Singapore, and will be back in the seat, in full fitness and health, for his home race in Sao Paulo.
