ffs this forum is a tad pathetic at the moment every thread is turning into petty abuse against other users, can we not give it a rest and have a logical debate instead of abusing each other as it really is pathetic, and is also annoying and off-putting for other users like myself.

Any way on the issue. if Ferrari do have this veto in there contract i really cant see what the FIA can do surely if they go ahead there open to a law suit from Ferrari and if they don't go ahead they look like the giving in to the teams. Tbh i don't see how the FIA are going to come out of this smileing

Course i can read you big head but very foolish little twerp but why the hell are you against Ferrari so much if you don't want a two teir F1.

Your not making any sense?

Because I want F1 to live, apparently unlike you guys who seem to delight in cheering The Scuderia and their deep-pocket newfound friends on as they destroy the sport in a blaze of self-important "protest". I will say once again, since you clearly keep ignoring me (And this is the last time, so if you mis-represent my position again, do not be surprised if I merely toss a derisive emoticon your way), my opposition is to the actions of the Scuderia and Co. not to wanting rid of the Two-Tier system and the rationalisation of the Budget cap.

If you were paying attention, you'd know I have vocally opposed the Two-Tiers and have stated on numerous occasions I think the rules for the Capped teams need serious re-thinking.

It's getting to the point where i am beginning to doubt anyone could miss or fail to understand what I have said when I have said it so often. It seems almost like you are deliberately dis-regarding it to start a fight.

Oh, but you wouldn't do that, now would you?

Thats a good Italian song "SHUT UPPA YOUR FACE"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFacWGBJ_cs

:hehe:

You can imagine Stefano singing that to Max today.

Yeh i would of loved to have been in that meeting.

Max "i'm sorry but we can't back down or extend the sign up deadline"

Stefano "Ehh maxie you shuddupa your face eh? you talka de crape"

i don't see how they couldn't just come to an agreement tho surly all it would mean is increasing the budget cap

He just figured out how to use google translate thats all.

Yeh I figured that much, he must be proud

I like that you'd think I wasn't aware you'd know it was Google Translator. It's pretty obvious why I made that statement in Italian, but if you don't get it...Meh, I'm not a teacher. I don't have to explain linguistic techniques to you.

My god man your so big headed its untrue honestly its if you think no one can understand your random stance but you.

EVERY TEAM apart from Brawn GP, and Force India are apposed to these rules F1 can not surive if all the teams leave do you not understand that.

its not just Ferrari its every team, if Ferrari left and setup a GP1 or whatever I expect most of FOTA would follow.

So when the teams disagree with Max led by Domenacalli you call Ferrari stupid.

So what your saying is, i don't like two tier F1 but i think Ferrari are going about it the stupid way.

Right well how should they go about it then? Just moan at max and he can just tell them to get stuffed like he's done even after all this.

No they have got to make a unified stand and teams threating of quitting has worked because its got Ecclestone on side and Max will listen to ecclestone if pushed.

My god man you're so spoiling for a fight it's untrue, honestly it's as if you think everyone who disagrees with you is some kind of second class citizen.

EVERY TIME I have pointed out that I am opposed to these rules, you have ignored it. Brawn GP and Force India are opposed to these regulations. Everyone but Max Mosley and Co. is.

It's not as simple as opposing the regs, not all teams can threaten to quit, if Ferrari leave it won't affect Williams, brawn and Force India if they're alread signed up.

So I don't understand what the hell you're getting at in the next line.

So what I have said several times now already is that I think Ferrari and the big budgeteers who have joined them are splitting FOTA's response, which weakens its position; they are antogonising Max Mosley (Akin to poking a sleeping dragon square in his seeing-hole); they are putting F1 at risk and that they have gone too aggressive too quickly.

Right well, what then has threatening to quit achieved other than pissing him off even more?

Yes, they have got to make a unified stance which is why when FOTA's members all respond independently of FOTA in this way it weakens their collective position.

1. If BGP and FI are apposed why have they signed up? Williams too kinda but they have come out and said "we don't want two teir F1" i've not seen Brawn or FI say anything

2. Threating to Quit got BE and he has infulence over Max since he pretty much put him there

3. Max is the one that went agresive to quick, and the people spliting FOTA's response are the ones who signed up, since it puts them in Max's pocket.

The teams can't just take it easy on this issue, they can't show themselves to be bullyable or it will happen again and again. i think the response of the big budgeters has been proportional to the level of madness inerrant to the two tier system.

It's obvious to me that the two tier idea and the minuscule size of the proposed capped budgets as well as the disproportionate levels of technical freedom afforded to those that sign up is a blatant p*ss - take by the FIA, a statement of 'we will do what we like and you will take it because we are in charge, not you'.

I don't think the teams should stand for this and i am pleased with the strong response they have made.

What figure would everyone consider to be a reasonable budget cap? Bearing in mind both the high spending teams AND making the sport more attractive to new teams.
#117982
No takers?!

ok I'll go first then

85m next year . . . . 70m year after . . . . then stop at 55m. These figures are variable and linked to the F1 revenue of the previous year.

I think that is along the lines of what the teams are thinking. Certainly a gradual year by year reduction in costs, but with freedom of technology.

Downside is although it favours the manufacturers, it really hurts any new teams plannin to enter and the existing privateers like Williams

Sounds reasonable
