Politics are a part of every form of racing for the normal guy. At the very bottom level you are playing politics with sponsors etc. The problem here is McLaren put a protective arm over Lewis at a very young age and basically carried his career to the top. That meant he didn't really need to play the sponsorship game, didn't need to see how the money is brought in to replace those cars he crashed. Now, at the sports highest level...that money is massive and he MUST be on point for his team because his is the face the public sees....and poor little diddykums can't handle it. Weak, weak weak. I just want to drive...boohooo...well so does a LOT of drivers below him and they also have the strength of character to handle that responsibility.

Look at Michael Phelps. He is a swimmer who just wants to swim and win...but the press is all over him. He can't wrap his fingers around a bong without it hitting the press and him getting suspended...but you don't see him crying his eyes out looking for sympathy. He has some character.

Lewis' last press conference was exactly the same crap...whoa is me, I can't take the pressure, I was forced to lie. :bs:

Jacques Villenueve the second has officially arrived in F1. May his stay be mercifully short. I hear Nascar has an open seat.

Fantastic post there.

Glad you liked it. Strange how you can't debate a single point in it, so you result to insults. Exactly what I would expect from you. Curl on up to your poster of Hammy now and soothe his poor hurt feelings.

you have an unhealthy obsession!

Perhaps you had better join longbow...a threesome with his hammy poster might be just the thing to calm your poor hero's fragile nerves. Maybe you can bring your autographed life sized stuffed Hammy doll? Even after this load of manure out of his mouth, you are still enamored. Is there anything he could do short of leaving for Nascar that would blunt the edge of your undying love? He runs drivers off the track and its ok, he's just aggressive. He Lies and gets caught then lies again and then calls a press conference blaming everyone but himself...it's ok, he's young and impressionable. He throws his team under the bus after two races and he's just frustrated. Now, he is crying about F1 not being fun and still you love him for it. This is all your expect of a world champion? And you were complaining about Alonso? I was disgusted by Alonso whining in the press and I'm equally so with Hammy. To answer your question bud, people would stop bitching about Hamilton if he would keep his attention seeking mouth shut and get on with driving.

I believe this was predicted in a thread this past off season. THE MOMENT Hamilton is not in a competitive car, he starts crying like a baby without a pacifier. Immature prat. This personality disorder that he has where he constantly needs the limelight is pathetic to watch in a world champion. When it was Jacques Villenueve it was pathetic and it is pathetic in Hamilton as well. If he feels trapped, feels scared, wants his daddy's thumb to suck on or whatever....get lost then and let someone else have his seat. It gets old seeing him constantly begging for attention.

I feel trapped...like a prisoner wrongly accused...oh whoa is me for being a formula one driving millionaire.... LOL

Alonso must be laughing his bottom off right now....

you have an unhealthy obsession!

And regularly misses the point.

I'm actually finding my Hamilton cynicism is receding this season as he isn't being rammed down my throat by ITV twice a month. I'm beginning to think that perhaps James Allen and Lewis Hamilton are bearable on their own but combined, they are not.

Less than one season on an uncompetitive car, with a fellow brit taking his share of the english headlines, and he's already talking about stepping.
Maybe he's also starting to get concerned with the possibilities of a Nico Rosberg or Vettl or Kubica next to him, this time without the unconditional support of his daddy Ron...

I know i am sounding somewhat crude, but the truth is, Hamilton didnt mind crudity when he was the one being looked after. Lewis is a good driver, with the personality of a brat. I dont wish him anything bad, just the same everyone else with his or better abilities enjoys.

"Personality of a brat" Now how do you work that one out?? The guy wants to drive racing cars not play politics a la Max Mosely. If you like the way F1 is going under Max's tutelage then fine. Id rather watch proper racing. Hamilton has no problem with an uncompetitive car other than frustration at not beoing able to defend his title, that is not what is pissing him off. He is sick and tired of idiots taking everything he says the wrong way and having to play political games.
Yes the choice is his. But this is not how F1 should be. This is a sad inditement of our sport.

Welcome to the real world Lewis. Politics are a part of every facet of life. I expect my heroes to deal with it.

Lewis has always been in the real world. Oh! you thought Max mosely whipping , cheating, blackmailing games were the real world. Gee, Ive led a sheltered life!I like my heros to succeed without that crap.

This is a side effect of his extremely rapid rise to the top i guess, obviously nothing can be done to truly prepare anyone for the sort of situation he was put in cause it's a very rare one, in any sport - he's finding these things out the hard way. I'm sure this will all pass soon enough, providing he can avoid more controversy of course!

Very well put Sir Scotty  ! Frickin hilarious how a king mullet calls another member who does not have their lips on a drivers bum a mullet  . I'm never far from a good laugh on this forum  .

Lewis Hamilton says he is disillusioned with Formula One and compared his current situation to wrongful imprisonment.

The McLaren driver, 24, has had a turbulent start to his career since his rookie season in 2007, and this year became embroiled in controversy after being accused of misleading stewards following the Australian Grand Prix.

Prior to that that there was the "spy-gate" scandal which led to a £65million fine for McLaren for stealing information from Ferrari, and Hamilton is finding it difficult to accept these brushes with officialdom.

To compound Hamilton's woes, McLaren are off the pace this term, and the defending world champion was heavily critical of his car during the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.

"I just feel knocked out by it all," Hamilton told The Times.

"It's got to be a similar feeling to anyone who goes to jail but feels they shouldn't be behind bars.

"That is the feeling I have had, although I know what happened in Australia was wrong.
Politics

"I want to be a driver - I am not in the sport to be a politician.

"I used to enjoy Formula One and part of that has been taken away from me.

"I never imagined it would be so much politics when I came into Formula One. It definitely was a shock. There has been too much time taken up with it.

"Unfortunately, it is the way the Formula One world works for some reason.

"It's much nicer in the lower categories, where all the people are there just to race and the teams are there just to race."

Hamilton, whose hopes of defending his world champion title this season already appear extremely slim, added: "It hasn't affected my driving. I won't allow anything to affect my driving.

I wouldnt be to suprised if Hamilton called it a day soon, his lost so much passion for the sport, i actually feel sorry for the guy

That's just wishful thinking on your part. Lewis is going no where for the foreseeable future and nothing in his interviews has even hinted at that. Their will be plenty more world champions wins for him and plenty more podiums ,make no mistake about that.

He is just voicing his opinions not saying or even hinting he is going to leave, some people really are in cloud cookoo land on these forums. :banghead:

Another Lewis hater who can't keep his hate for Lewis in check, man you are pathetic to say the least.

Did he say he was leaving...NO

Nico Rosberg, Vettl, Kubica...man you really are a hater aren't you. Lewis has been racing against these people for years, not just in F1..

Give up following the sport until you know what you are talking about ...

Look as mentioned before Lewis is dismayed at the moment but he is not going anywhere anytime soon, atleast I hope so. Lets not let the press turn ourselves on each other. LH is the best thing to happen to F1 in many years even I recognize that and I respect his skill aswell as his composure.
This soon will come to pass imo so it's all good
