Yeh they basically own the livery of the car and treat it like a plot of land that they then rent out to other companies.

Anyone able to shed more light on that?I thought that was the idea for next season and that this year Virgin was only paying £250k a race for the current space they occupy on the car or have I missed something out?

Anyone able to shed more light on that? That's a proposed deal for next season. At the moment, Virgin pays $250,000 a race for their logos where they are. They're looking to gain Title Sponsorship in time for Spain, on a multi-year (Believed to be 3) deal.

When Honda was on sale IMO the future of F1 was in quite a lot of doubt with manufactures threatening to pull out right, left and centre also the world economy heading into a big down turn this coupled with the high risk high cost investment that a F1 team it makes quite a lot of sense to me.
I can imagine there is a HUGE list of people that would buy a team for 1 pound with no debt. Something doesn't make sense here guys. Honda would have been better off selling the team, if not selling all its equipment... I dont get it
