Rapier makes an interesting point in saying that Kimi should have backed the cars behind him up. I think that is what Ferrari should have done and even if he lost a place or two as long as he stayed in front of Hamilton he would have accomplished his goal. However I don't believe that Kimi was out for himself in the race. He did what he was told to do so the fault is down to Domenicalli or whoever thinks up the strategy.

I understand the point being made but Hamilton was in fourth after the start, only needed fifth, and as soon as it was clear what Raikkonen was up to McLaren would have pitted Hamilton early so in the end Hamilton would have got ahead of Raikkonen, which wouldn't help. Also I don't think it's too controversial to say that Hamilton has pretty good racecraft, probably the best of anyone, so there's no way Ferrari could count on Hamilton not getting past on the track. And if Raikkonen was really ultra-aggressive in defending his position, there comes a point where this becomes too much, and I think Ferrari has become a fairer racing team in the last two years and welcome that.

However, the tactics you describe do have a legitimate application, which is when your opponent starts behind your cars and they need to win the race. In that situation, these are exactly the tactics to follow.

Yeh you can only block so many times.

Furthermore i truly believe Kimi didn't want Massa to win - Why? because there would be two WDC at Ferrari and that would make it worse for him.

handed the title to FM.

Felipe wouldnt have earned it?

IF Ferrari had played it smarter and IF McLaren therefore made a mistake during the race and handed the title to FM, he would have earned it.

handed then earned, doesnt sound right to me is all

It's a team sport. You lose as a team (see Singapore) and you win as a team (with better strategy). Ferrari handed the title to LH in Singapore, yet I don't claim he didn't earn it.
