You don't like the Melbourne track? Wtf? :yikes:

What - everyone else does? :yikes:

I hate it, what's unique about it? A few chicanes and one hairpin. Whoop-dee-doo!

A just a flat ring almost. In my opinion it's got no character whatsoever. It's a massive step down from the Adelaide circuit.

As the Melbourne residents are going crook at the noise and the notion of the race being held at twilight, I'll be happy to see the race moved to a different location. We have plenty of tracks to choose from.

I've never liked the Melbourne track from the start.

Fair enough. I think it's got a good mix of corners and more often than not has provided a great race. :) I did love Adelaide too though.

V10's were better. Much better, but V8's will have to do I guess!

On tv, yeah, in the flesh... tough call. The V8's are so, so much louder, i was quite blown away by them at Goodwood.

You reckon, I thought V10's were alot louder.
V8's are higher pitched defo

Yeah, they had the V8's go through then a V10 Ferrari after (F2000 i think), it was a lot quieter...

I think the Gold Coast track is good for a street-race. Perhaps some of the chicanes will need to be "dumbed down" a bit. I was watching the Sydney Street Race last weekend and, to my dismay, the track is only good for V8s. I was bitterly disappointed that Skaife didn't design the circuit with many overtaking opportunities.

He pretty much designed the chicanes to be super-tough, as Aussies love seeing the cars get air-time from cutting a chicane.

I could just imagine the Super GP week having the V8 supercars, along with Formula One at Gold Coast.

No, because the circuit's rubbish.

 Bitter from a poo race, like me.

Yep. It manages to commit all these crimes:

    Simply a boring track
    Few overtaking zones
The lap is too long because it's a way slow track
      - As a result of this, the race is also too long because of the distance rule

All this combines together into a long, dull race set against a backdrop of concrete walls. Yippee?

Its only good when Fernando wins

I doubt they would have been revving them to their maximum at Goodwood. I can guarantee that the V10s were alot louder in person from my own experiences of going to GPs. they sound like a screaming banshee!

Yes it is essential because i live there and it is the best 3 days of the year and im afraid you have got it wrong when you say its closed for 7 because it is not. And as far as i know it is the buisness district therefore the small cafes have to have quite a lot of money to be able to have access to such a popular spot.

I did consider that, although i remember the pitch suggested it wasn't too limited, and current engines naturally rev about 3,4k more anyway. The car i saw was old, way older than '05, so who knows. In all reality i was probably just deafened from Timo Glock flooring it pretty much right next to me beforehand. :yikes::hehe:

F1 was one of the best things ever, to have come to Singapore. It puts tiny Singapore on the international world map, and showcases Singapore brilliantly to the whole world. I'm sure that must of you were impressed with the sights and sounds of the beautiful Flyer, the new-style skyscrapers, contrasted with the old-style colonial buildings, all surrounding the Marina Bay circuit.

It was even more remarkable that Singapore was able to stage an international event of this calibre, within such a short space of time. The Singapore government did a brilliant job in bringing a world-class event like Formula One to the tiny island nation.

What more, the bumpy Marina Bay circuit is a challenging street track, with lots of drama, twists and turns, and where the smallest error can create the difference between winning the race and not finishing the race. It was easily one of the more exciting races on the Formula One calendar. No, I'm not just saying this cause Lewis won this year's race, but I'm really quite impressed with what Singapore has achieved.

Before watching the Singapore GP last year and this year, I wonder how many of you would have thought of visiting Singapore as a tourist destination, let alone being aware of what Singapore has to offer for the average tourist. But I'm sure most of you would have changed your minds, after watching the race.
