I think everyone is reading into this way too much.
It's simply a case of Alonso being the bigger man.
Class Fernando. Much more than Ron or Lewis.

Well, you must have been locked away in a cryogenic chamber for quite some time and only just been released. Hamilton has on quite a few occasions complimented Alonso's driving skills and said he learned from him. Hamilton and Alonso are both eejits and although they may not get along, it's pretty tough to deny the truth. Alonso still harbours some bitterness about McLaren, a lot of which is unfair. Credit to him for being nice about Hamilton's gaffe's this year, but he's still got some learning to do.

Cryogenic chamber? No I'm not from Northern Ireland. :hehe:

You're wrong again I'm afraid. The country has been moving forward recently, as evidenced by devolution being restored, renewed investment in the country etc. You know nothing about Northern Ireland, so because that, and the fact that many people have been murdered and beaten up over the years, you should keep your ill-informed and insensitive views to yourself.

No No I'm not taking about Ireland's progress, devolution, lack of investment, bashings or murders, all of which you're right, I know nothing about. How on earth did you read all of those topics in my simple post.
I'm simply having a laugh about it being as cold as a cryogenic chamber. If I ask again in winter I'm sure you'll agree.

In that case, I apologise. People normally charge Northern Ireland with living in the past, so I assumed that your remark meant something similar.

Alonso won't go back to Mclaren if Ron Dennis is there and Ron is a much to blame as Alonso and lewis for what went on last year. If Ron will do the right thing and retire and let Whitmarsh take over then the door will be more open for Alonso to come back should he wish. It all depends on Ferrari if a seat becomes available then he will be going there in 2010 if not then he may seriously consider BMW or Mclaren because a driver of his ability should not be in the mid pack

Maybe we've all missed the point here.

Perhaps he's got a deal with Ferrari and he's just happy...

Well I doubt ferrari would take him, might be wrong here but I Think ferrari would prefer the uncomplicated but equally talented Kubica.

I don't think Alonso is complicated, I think he behaved like a cornered animal in 2007 and the press went to town on him.

In my mind he's the best driver on the grid at the moment and deserves to be in either a Ferrari or BMW...

Was Alonso cornered in 2006 when he lashed out against Renault on several occasions?

When did he lash out against Renault? After he had signed his McLaren contract?

Yeah, that and another time or two. Alonso wants to be the big cheese and often cracks under the pressure. I'll grant you that he's not complicated, however. Give him number one status in the team and be ready for a backlash when the car is not performing and you'll be sorted.

I'm sure the team were a little frosty towards him after signing for McLaren.
