And a team for their vision... Toro Rosso seem to be the only team with a vision to bring new talent to the sport in a well-controlled environment. But where they disappoint me is their ability to move forward.

Well technically they are in the Redbull family, their vision is the same as Redbull Racing, they are the junior team where RBR can put their future drivers in the game. This is why Matesitzch bought Minardi.

Supporting someone purely because they're a compatriot is understandable, though I would need more than that to...idk..."emotionally invest" myself in a driver the way I have webber. America is just where I live. Dirt is dirt and rocks are rocks no matter where you are on the planet, and borders are just invisible lines our ancestors drew on a map, so supporting a driver only due to patriotism seems hollow to me. Now, if a new american driver shows up on the grid that I know nothing about, I'll give him a chance to prove himself. But at the end of the day, if he's a tw@t that I can't stand, he'll get the " :censored: you" treatment just like I'd give vettel, american or not!

However, I will admit, if an american driver showed up and started dominating, I'd take every chance possible to aggravate my british buddies here on the forum with silly pokes and prods about it, don't you doubt!!

 From what I've read so far, I think you're one of the few on this forum I could have a beer with.

If that were a possibility I'd be happy to do that!! This is the best I can do for now though, so Cheers!! :drink::drink::drink:

+1

I'd happily join you. :thumbup::drink:

Red Bull - Webber.
Seems like a straight forward, no holes barred kinda guy. Rough N Ready. Not afraid to hide emotions either when needs be. Seb is a bit too childish.

McLaren - Button.
I just really like his racing style. It's odd, but I rarely like the "tactical" approach in drivers so I should choose Hamilton. But there you go. Button is a cool guy and his style works for him. Well done sir.

Ferrari - Alonso.
Tough choice as I'm not too keen on either driver. But I like Alonso more as he's a better driver. He's classy and hasn't thrown his toys out of the pram yet even though he has a crap car.

Lotus - Raikkonen.
No contest. The man is amazing. Coolness personified. Fave driver on the grid.

McLaren - Schumacher.
To be honest with you, I didn't like how Rosberg handled his first pole position in Formula 1. He was too nonchalant. Surprising for me maybe, as, if Kimi did this I would love it. But I think Rosberg is a bit too flash or something. I'm willing to be proved wrong though. Schuey is a great character, if not a great person. Nice to see drivers with personality - whether you like them on a personal level or not.

Williams - Senna.
I don't really have a preference though. Choosing Senna simply cause he seems like a sound guy and is really enjoying his F1 experience.

Sauber - Kobayashi.
Both are great guys to be honest. Kobayashi is great fun to watch and there's always an element of danger in his driving which the sport really needs. He gives the midfield battle a lot more sparks and thrilling races. I do like Perez a lot as well though.

Force India - Di Resta.
I know next to nothing about Hulkenburg so I'll go with Di Resta. I do like him when he's interviewed. He gives honest and respectable answers and there's no reason to dislike him.

Torro Rosso - Meh.
I don't know anything about either driver. They seem alright but ask me again towards the end of the season.

Caterham - Kovallainen.
An unlucky guy I think. He's the best of the slower six drivers and deserves a much better car. Hope him or the team move up next year. I don't like his helmet choice in all honesty, but I admire the balls he has for wearing it.

HRT - De La Rosa.
Good, solid worker. Always admired his wiliness to help whatever team he drives for. A genuinely sound lad.

Marussia - Glock.
Don't know much about either driver. But Glock has been around a while and has always come across quite well.

Ta-dah!

Please take my comments as tongue in cheek, its how its ment

Red bull : Webber ,just both seem like great guys ,convict just edges it for me

McLaren : Button ,purely as he sulks less and isn't a tax dodger, like them both though.

Ferrari : hate them both, but at least Alonso can drive

Lotus : Don't know to much about Grosjean, not a Kimi fan,how he threw away all those titles at McLaren i will never know.

Mercedes : Battle of the krauts,Rosberg for me,Schumi will never be forgiven.

Williams : Senna ,tough call this one, just edges it as i liked his uncle

Sauber : two great young drivers, another tough call ,Kobayashi just for being well...Kobayashi really

Force India : DiResta both good young prospects. Will always pick a brit over a kraut

Caterham : Kovalainen edges it for me,tough start to F1,nice guy.

The rest I don't really no enough about to insult :hehe:

There is tongue in cheek and then theres going a bit too far...

McLaren will end their wait for the Constructors title, but since Mercedes have resolved their tyre issues, must be at least another 8-9 pole chances for the team and placing well on the podium.

Green Text alert:- watch with the nationalistic names. I know it is in gest. However it is the brain it goes into and not the one that it comes out of can cause the problems.

Red Bull- Webber
easy one for me, Mark is my favourite driver, top bloke, says it how it is and no bull

Mclaren- Button
Jenson just pips Lewis for me, mainly because i was a fan of him back in the Honda days

Ferrari- Alonso
not really fan of the guy, but I have full respect for his driving talent.

Mercedes- Schumacher
Its a weird one with Schumi, he was the reason why i even got interested in F1 and was a fan of his in the late 90s, when the 2000s started I started to dislike him then more so when the years got on. But now driving for Merc, I don't mind so much and would like to see him do well against Nico which will be a good battle

Lotus- Kimi
just because he is so layed back type character

Force India- meh

Sauber- Kobayashi
I would like to see a Japanese driver do well, and also like his aggressive overtakes, mainly from the 2010 and 2011 seasons

Toro Rosso- Ricciardo
He's an Aussie and seems to be a very nice person, almost too nice for F1 and Vergne seem to be a bit of a knob for some reason

Caterham- meh

Marussia- Glock
I think he is a good driver and deserves a better drive.

HRT- meh

Pahaha, really? Just cause of Vettel right... What about Sauber's record (including their time as BMW where Kubica and Vettel arrived). In the last decade or so they've given 4 race winners and 2 world champions their debuts...

Sauber used to be spot on for talent spotting. To be fair they picked Koby from no where and look how he has done. Perez I would image was at the top of the list because Ferrari asked them.

I miss the feeder teams of old, like minardi, Sauber, even Jordan

Jordan were excellent. Gave many top F1 drivers a shot! Williams don't have a bad track record for this sort of thing either. Button, Montoya, Rosberg etc...

I agree, but I do not really see Jordan or Williams in feeder role. When you think about it Sauber are almost Ferrari's Toro Rosso

Perhaps Big Azza is including Torro Rosso's previous incarnation as Minardi in mentioning them. Isn't it pretty much the same team only under different ownership?
