Since when did f1 become a circus?

DRS? Stewards? Rules that cant be policed? Bernie's ideas? Ah but we love it though.

Nothing wrong with the stewards or MrE at all. :nono:

Mosley was what made F1 like a circus.

Agree on Mosley. But if bernie had his way. Artificial rain? Trophy system?

And the stewards would be fine if they learnt to be consistent. Theyre not and so it becomes a circus.

The solutions to the problems in F1 are probably seen as a few steps backwards which the teams will not like. If the teams get behind making changes to F1 then MrE wouldn't have to make wild suggestions like sprinklers and short cuts.

As for the stewards the simple solution is to have the same ones at every single race and get rid of the guest driver stewards. Whilst they are only 1 out of a group of 4 I dare say their opinion is considered more than that of 1 "regular" person seeing as the are considered (rightly or wrongly) to be in the know.

I would have a stewardship made up exclusively from F1 drivers. Having a choice between guy in the local racing FIA affiliated club be steward who's racing experience reaches its peak at a hill climb compared to an ex F1 driver is a no brainer.

Lets start every race track backwards. In this way pole will be always dominated by Liuzzi and we would see a hell of fights n overtakes! :D

A HRT wouldn't even last 2 seconds in the lead. Remember the Grand Prix at the Nurburgring in '07, when Markus Winkelhock led away at the restart in a Spyker...I think he lasted...erm.... a corner?? :hehe:

Not quite the whole story though.

Of course the truth is that Winkelhock / Spyker gambled well and it paid off. He pulled out a lead of over 30 seconds whilst everyone else either crashed or crept to the pits to change tyres. Plus, this was at the time that the pace of the entire grid was such that the slowest car on the grid was barely 2 secs per lap slower than the fastest - and that was in normal conditions as opposed to the heavy rainfall they were in. There's every chance Winkelhock could have held on to the lead for at least half the race if it weren't for the safety car coming out followed by a standing restart.

I may want to restrict one or two but if theres a panel of four or five the twats will be diluted.

What an awful idea, its a SPORT, which means that the best driver should win. This seasons championship has been close and if a guy is fastest and within the rules he should be on pole and win the race.

Next someone will suggest that if a driver wins 2 races in a row he should be given a race ban!

By the logic of the title of this thread, then qualifying shouldn't exist, because it rewards the fastest guy. If you're saying punish the guy that won a race, why are you not saying to punish the quickest guy on Saturday?
