New & Improved Crash Kid v2.0 seems to be always scrapping it up with Massa... if Ferrari go with someone other than Massa... why go for the guy fighting for the same position on a better car??

if anything... Ferrari would prefer a driver thats consistently pulling in good solid drives, and there are several, then worry about delivering the car.

This is only a topic because Kubica's injured.

Who would Alonso rather have as a team-mate? SV or Yuji Ide? Hmmmmmmm :hehe::wink:

Actually a tough choice. On one hand he'd want a patsy who'll not be a threat but on another hand Ferrari will want a rear gunner who can run towards the pointy end of the field.

It is a tough choice. Alonso doesn't like being anything other than number 1. That automatically rules SV out in his eyes. Yuji Ide wouldn't threaten him, but then I doubt Ide would threaten a HRT, even in a Ferrari!

Anytime the name Alonso comes up on this forum, some people (including some of the mods) bring up old S**t from the 2007 season. You would think that after 4 years, they would have moved on but no they still need to dwell on old stories because they have nothing new to bash Alonso with.

People can say whatever they want about him from 2007, but I look at Alonso of the past 2 years. In 2010, when everyone thought it was over for him by mid-season, he came back and took the lead and finished in 2nd spot at the end in what was considered the 3rd best team on the grid. The same thing is happening this year to. He is in the 3rd best team but yet he is ahead of Webber and Hamilton. Had Alonso been at RB or McL, I would believe he would still be challenging Vettel for the WDC.
So for all there is to say, for most of the time Alonso has kept his head down and out of controversy and went on doing what he does best: racing. It seems that some people can't see that or they choose not to see it because that means giving him credit.

Also, to those (including couple of the mods) who keep bringing up the fact that he was beat by a rookie in 2007 and keep saying he is better than Alonso, I have a question to them. How has your rookie been doing in the past couple of seasons? He sits in a superior car and yet he finishes behind Alonso! He is always involved in some kind of controversy, getting in trouble with the stewards and acting mean towards his team as it was obvious this weekend when Hamilton claimed "he is not the team." Is Hamilton hinting at preferential treatment at McL? Is Button the favorite one at McL? Does that mean that McL has a #1 policy? If that is what Hamilton is talking about, than we can assume that preferential treatment was well in place in 2007 at McL. I leave at that...

2010 the Ferrari was hardly a slouch fact man. Infanct towards the end it was up there with the RedBull. But fact man you want to talk preferential treatment just remember this... "Fernando is faster than you" guess its ok when it goes Fernando's way huh.

PS unless you're a Vettel fan all of the sudden you may wish to change sigs :hehe:

you probably mean me..the mod. Cos Ive said Alonso was beaten by a rookie, and he was. I dont think mcLaren give better equipment or support to any one driver, either then or now. But I do think Whitmarsh is way up Button's arse, as Ive said many a time, and its affecting hamilton. Ok he has to deal with it and I guess he will.

I personally think either ALonso or Hamilton would give Vettel a royal spanking if he dared to team them.

Also, i think Alonso is aware having a strict number two wins you championships, you dont need to be a rocket scientist to put two and two together and see tht hes trying to replicate schumacher.

He can handle anyone in F1, Lewis too, he just wouldnt be guaranteed even in contract form that the team wouldnt favour the other driver, and if its a top driver thats much more likely.

I think otherwise.

As is your right, however much you might be wrong

Dont think hes anywhere near what people make out, mainly the fault of those doing the "making out", if they treated him like a two time world champion and not a senna-prost-schumacher hybrid then hed probably live up to expectation.

By your logic then, LH is 'just' a one-time world champion and FA a has been double world champion and thus, both shouldn't be rated as high as SV. Not that I agree with that kind of logic, I'm just sayin'...

There was no logical intent in my post im afraid, just an opinion on Vettel.
