Impressive moment!

It's said that at this moment he opened his visor and tooke a sip.

I do wonder what Kimi would have been thinking, driving down the pitlane with a McLaren ahead of him with a fuel hose attached, showering fuel all over him.

I expect he was on the radio saying "I had to take a sheet..."

before I read the posts in theis thread, I will just say that Button did some really skilled driving today, a couple of banzai passes, and proved he's a worthy champion.

What Lewis did to Rubens is regrettable but let's not be too hard on Lewis. Believe me I am no big Lewis fan but I believe this to be just a mistake. All the drivers make mistakes, even the good ones. Sure it had dire consequences for Rubens, so unfair as to be stomach turning taking all those points from Rubens, and I think Rubens should be fuming at Lewis, and I do think Lewis should be handed some form of penalty, but only insofar as he committed an error.

... And what about Trulli and Sutil? It's a classic he said she said drama, but Trulli says Alonso lays the blame on Sutil. The commentators and that way it looked to me on the TV was all Trulli getting out of shape on the grass.

Sutil had every right to stay on the racing line, it's not like he pushed Trulli off or did any Kobayashi-style blocking.

Sutil is no stranger to geting caught up in just as many big accidents as he is to causing them.

Yeah, Trulli got it wrong today, i'm sure he's experienced enough to realise he was wrong when he sees the replay though. As for Sutil... just... Involved in YET ANOTHER incident... :-|

That's the trouble with Trulli, he's just a big "winer". :hehe:

Sometimes, although from what i've seen in the past few seasons he's had a right to be po'd when retards like Bourdais (plus several others) have taken him out on the first lap!

Which one's the 'she'?? :D

Well, some say one of them "runs like a she". :hehe:

That was one awsome race,

Numerous crashed at the start of the race
A near punch up at the track side with two drivers having words
Fire in the pit lane
Jenson (and others) overtaking left right and centre
A crazy Japanese driver in the mix
A British world champion crowned

All in all one of the best races I have seen for a long time.
