This is a massive moment for the championship. Had some luck but also some solid driving from Rosberg.

Gonna be hard for Hamilton to overcome that.

Solid driving from Rosberg? The guy was completely rattled with Lewis behind him, and again stayed ahead due to some serious luck'

As far as hard for Lewis to overcome, its only 3 wins in a row to claw back the deficit

It makes the title a lot more interesting anyway

Hard to fathom how Hamilton is managing to lose the championship to Rosberg who has never been regarded as a top flight driver. There are the reliability issues but Rosberg is outperforming him at the moment. Two poles and two wins in a row?! And he does it at Montreal of all places - Hamilton's track.

Hamilton must get the momentum back right away.

Excellent race, lots of action and the passing even with DRS wasn't that easy, just about right. Looks like the 'formula' was designed to fit this track perfectly.

And Montreal is so beautiful, perfect location, perfect track, and great racing. Best race of the year so far.

Yeah I think to understand this we have to look back at 2008 WDC and in particular the last corner of the last race. We can also look at Alonso and how he seems to keep getting further away from winning another WDC despite driving best. The only thing certain in sports is that the Germans are gonna win on free kicks, and the English are gonna be talking about if the ball really did cross the line or not

I dont know anymore, but Montreal is beautiful, that race track is really really cool, the racing was brilliant, I am so glad to see Danny ricc winning and I am off to the pub

What a way to start my hols. :)
A great win by Dan, I'm really happy for him. It was a great drive. First of many I hope.
I also credit Nico with an excellent drive to bring his car home when it clearly had a major fault.
Had to chuckle to myself when Dan's engineer asked him where he wanted to overtake so they could do the calculations on their computers to tell him how to use his ers to make the pass. Thank goodness we've left those bad old days behind where the driver used to do that ROFL.
Lewis had wretched luck this race, I hope it balances out for him somewhere down the line.

Any word on whether Massa and Perez are ok?

Ironically they are probably the 2 most recent drivers to have big accidents where they were injured.

I guess I'll respond to Big Azza then.

Massa has been taken to hospital for a precautionary check after registering a very high G impact.

Top job in not only screwing Williams' best chance this season but Perez/Force Indias as well. *thumbs up*

Before anyone gets all emo about my comment, he's totally fine and just having precautionary checks.

Well done Danny Boy.

As for the Rosberg/Hamilton fight. Even if the turn 1 and the missing the corner incidents did not happen. Lewis' would of probably still retired. Nico drove amazingly to finish second. However he was helped massively by Perez not getting into DRS range.

The Perez/Massa crash was scary. I held my breath waiting for them to move. Vettel was amazingly lucky not to get collected by either of them.

The last lap calamities gave Jenson some good points.

Feel sorry for Max and the end of his run. Maybe now he can focus on going fast and not keeping his record going.

Lots of bickering here, but come on guys that was a fantastic Grand Prix!

This season is producing some first class racing, which is of immense relief after the latter part of the previous season became so stale. Another big thumbs up to the new regs, we've had a much greater ratio of entertaining races than boring ones so far. Hopefully, it'll continue.

What happened at the front with Merc was most peculiar. We started off with some fireworks into the first corner, and Rosberg showing Hamilton a firm door. It was great seeing the crowd react to the on-track action, as Hamilton then closed in on Rosberg, and we could have witnessed an epic battle between the two, but then the problems came into play. Sad to see Lewis Hamilton drop out of the race in this way, hopefully he'll come back strong in Austria. Mercedes might want to work the pit-stops a little bit, they had some less than impressive ones today, most notably that 4.6 second one for Nico mid-race.

Once again, Williams could have achieved much, much more. Ferrari's promised upgrades yielded very little. McLaren have lots of catching up to do, but at least they came away with decent points.

Max Chilton's 100% reliability record has gone up in smoke, and both Marussia drivers seemed very eager to lay they blame on each other. What a come down from Monaco.

Anyway, fantastic, action-packed Grand Prix, and this season is turning into a cracker.

Final note: let's remember the track marshal Mark Robinson, who was tragically killed during the race in Montreal last year.
