Wait i was supposed to be stirring the pot with that fact? How

Folk out there will see it and jump to the conclusion that McLaren have been sabotaging Lewis's boxes! :hehe:

Can you prove they havent....?

funny how everyone cares all of a sudden about this rule - but when Perez got one two races ago OR when Raikkonen got one last week - I didnt see many (if any) complaints.....

Cause some groups just accept that s*** happens and get on with it, cause it's the same rule for all the drivers.

If we were Perez fans we'd be more upset. Perez isn't a serious contender for the championship, but Lewis is. Lewis taking a penalty for a gearbox change could mean the difference between winning the championship and not, but Perez taking one can mean the difference between being the fifth championship loser and being the sixth loser. For folks like myself, it isn't that it's a crime in one instance and not in another, but that in one instance it directly effects my driver's chances in 2012 and in another it effects someone else but not me. I guess it's like if your wife cheats on you versus some other bloke's wife cheating on him; one effects you more than the other. It isn't that it's okay for Perez and wrong when it happens to Hamilton so much as it sucks that it happened to Hamilton because he's my driver.

Before someone calls you out on that one with "SO HAMILTON IS UR WIFE????" I'll say it first.

Lewis said he likes to chase the cars in front and he is pretty satisfied with his car perfomance, so i think we should leave this penalty behind and hope he gets pole tomorrow, with button second, it feels like it's gone be an exciting race weekend :)

So if an injustice / bad rule exists, but doesn't effect my driver - f*** it, its not important....?

LRW, its the same way if your neighbours house gets robbed...you'll sympathize and do no more. But if your house gets robbed, you'd be running off to the police station to make a report, sob uncontrollably, and bang your head against the wall cuz your life sucks at that moment. :hehe:

Get it? If not, God help you. :wavey:

Pretty much along with a bit of it only matters if it happens to the drivers in the top 6 (namely the drivers for McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull) - anyone else can go f**k themselves.

It's a daft rule but a rule none-the-less. It happens to pretty much every driver at some point. Surely the powers that be should penalise the team and not the driver?

My view on all of this is I wouldn't be much of a Lewis fan if I didn't think the guy couldn't win a race starting 6th on the grid with what looks to be the fastest car on Saturdays. I'd certainly be surprised if he didn't podium. The alternative is a DNF which would be way worse. The rules are the same for everyone, I'm comfortable with that.

No, not at all. It's just I get more upset about it when my driver, who could be challenging for the champonship, is affected by it.

By my calculations this is the 4th gearbox problem Hamilton has had since the start of 2010, during the same period Button has had none. Hm...

Well what a lucky boy Button is. And what an unlucky boy Lewis is.

( same result ...yes of course. Different reaction depending on who you support??????)

Are you saying that Button has been driving around with the same gearbox since 2010? Wow, and I thought it was only tires he was good at saving. Come on Scotty, what kind of statement is that? That would be the same as stating that Kimi has needed two new power steering upgrades this year.

What the f*** is wrong with people on here seriously? I simply point out a mere fact and everyone tries to jump down my throat and have a go cause of THAT? Jesus wept. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
