HOLY :censored: ferrarifan63 who is that in your avatar??

It's a Bahraini young woman. I put it there as a sort of solidarity measure with liberal modern Bahrainis. If the government changes and fundamentalists come in, then women such as that one will .... lose significant freedoms.

I'd like to put the famous blog pic of Aliaa Magda Elmahdy (famous Egyptian feminist and atheist) in my avatar, but people are probably too prudish, which would completely abrogate my point.

Can I just say, in case my point gets lost, that I do wholeheartedly support freedom for the Bahraini people. However, I am concerned that if care isn't taken on how the regime changes in Bahrain, that they could be out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Word. I support making sure that girl has more freedom, and by that I mean freedom to sleep with me if she wants, and if it takes regime change I'm going to take your word for it and I fully support your concerns and will :censored: riot like crazy.

Looks like she got pleanty of freedom from where I'm sitting! :hehe:(Sorry, couldn't resist).

Seriously, I agree with what Ferrarifan63 is saying. Regime change may happen but they could be better with the devil they know. Would regime change give the people the freedom that they desire of will it make a bad situation worse and bring total anarchy?

It's not anarchy I'm most worried about. The Taliban imposed more order (and therefore least anarchy) on Afghanistan than that country has ever had before or after. But probably also the least freedom, particularly for women.
