You all talk crap
Massa had 2 mechanical retirements in 2008, as well as 2 botched pit stops during races (both of which put him last place) Whilst Lewis had one botched pit stop, which just cost him 2 places. Yet Lewis only won by one point.
Massa lost tonnes of points in 2008 through mechanical failures and team errors. Lewis lost points through driver errors. What makes the better driver?
The top drivers in my opinion are, Vettel, Massa, Hamilton, Alonso. But you simply can't rank them. Different drivers will always do better in different cars. F1 is very much a team game. I mean, Lewis would be Massa in a Ferrari, but Massa would beat Lewis in a Ferrari. If anyone had raced against Alonso in Renault, they'd have lost. It's just how things go.
I think we all know that there's no definitive answer here but, for the purposes of the thread, we're "ranking the drivers" based on our opinion and personal interpretation of the results. We all have an idea of who we think is the best, you've singled out four drivers, some of us have singled out one or two, what's the difference?
