I'm bursting with pride.

McLaren 1-2!

Hamilton looked very good in Quali there. I think that the KERS cars on the front row could have the 1 - 2 wraped up by turn one, but some good battles to take place just behind, Button and Vettel being the biggie. Hekki responded well to the pressure, despite his last corner blip.

Gah, the race is gonna be terrible tomorrow, the only possible bit of excitement would be the start but even that is a foregone conclusion!

The start for sure but I wonder how long those tyres are going to last in the heat. Could well see the front runners slipping back into the clutches of the Brawns after 10 laps or so.

Some of the TV channels are saying Vettel will have a 10 place penalty.

Can anyone confirm?

*I don't believe he has an engine penalty...

i dont think he should have, the engine was changed before they went into parc ferme conditions as i understand it

I am really annoyed, had to miss qualifying because an electrician came to fix some plug sockets and had to have power off.

I officially dislike McLaren now.

Nakajima has to go, Sir Frank and Sam Michael won't be defending Nakajima now he's failed to beat Q1. Surely they'll be taking a look at Hulkenberg who is now just dominating in GP2.

Nico will be pissed off with 7th regardless of the fact he's on the clean side and might be able to jump some place off the line. And he will probably now confirm he is turning his back on Williams.

Not a bad start for Grosjean, Piquet would have done much worse, but the man of the day has to be Sutil for getting 12th on the grid. If he tanks that Force India up he might get a shot at the points tomorrow. :)

Thats one aspect I'm concerned about but the tyres did last for McLaren at Hungary.

I only just remembered

Hekki didn't even have the extra updates on his cars. I know we have to wait for the fuel loads now, to make any real judgements (which sucks) But thats looks like one seriously impressive result from Kovalinen.

Vettel BTW has no luck. He always seems to qualify in the wrong places. On the dirty side of the track and right behind the KERS cars.

Badeor , really, poor guy. Ferrari just can't keep him for the next year. Its a nice gesture giving him a race as thanks for his years of service. But seriously, the field is spread by 1.5 seconds, and Badeor is 1.5 seconds slower than 19th place. The word mobile chicane will be only the word to describe his race tomorrow.

But GROSJEAN FTW. In one weekend he's been more impressive than Piquet has been this whole year. Only 3 tenths off Alonso's time. Thats impressive you have to admit. Considering that this is his first ever time driving an F1 car. I'll no doubt be watching Grosjean closely.
