If you ingnore them they will try another tatic the best thing to do is prove them wrong make a fool out of them so much they give up.

What you write about the behaviour of trolls is so wrong, I cannot imagine how it could be more wrong. Trolls are fed by people arguing against their constructed arguments. If you ignore trolls, they may try again a few times, but will then get bored and go away. If people argue against trolling arguments at face value, that's what can and has kept trolls going for years.
