Care to explain how?

I think we all know the answer :hehe:

On the subject of the actual race weekend, great job by Toro Rosso. Sauber have just gone backwards this half of the season it seems though. :(

Not only Sauber... I think there's a heated race to get to the back of the bus by Renault, Williams and Sauber! Toro Rosso has made steady progress and I wouldn't be surprised if they caught up to Force India by the end of the season.

I know I will get some stick for this being a self confessed Jenson Button fans but it is a very different situation to that of Lewis; I do think that LH's penalty was harsh given that the electronic board was showing green but it seems that physical flags overrule that so it's poor organisation that caused the LH penalty. Jenson was committed to the corner when the incident happened, we don't know if he lifted off when he saw the yellow, maybe he did and didn't lose that much time, maybe he would have set a much faster time? There is a lot of assumptions being made here.

I'm looking forward to the race, Lewis Hamilton being out of position, should provide some fireworks, I'm hoping JB's race pace will be better, but I can't see anything other than a Red Bull winning this race, I would like to see Mark Webber win the race, but not by default and I don't think that Mark would want to win because his team mate moved over for him!

Yep, 1st time that both Torro Rossos have been in the top 10 this season. Sauber always seem to be inconsistent in their performance - everything going great then they somehow end up back to square 1.

No penalty for Jenson, despite it being more deserving of one than Hamilton's incident. Great consistency once again.

Care to explain how? You have no access to the telemetry to determine whether or not he did anything wrong...

He didn't lift enough as he did his personal best sector on that lap but didn't get a penalty, Hamilton also lifted but not enough so he got a penalty.

Sure, he saw the car go off and was committed to the corner, but he saw yellows after the incident as well so how did he know that another car hadn't gone off round the corner? He didn't as there wasn't a neaarby green, whereas for Hamilton it's obvious in the earlier picture that a green was being shown

rofl Lewis didn't lift he used DRS :D I'm starting to understand why Lewis fans are called fan boys. How they moan about this when even Lewis accepts it is beyond me.Oh yea must be MW's fault :hehe:

Then why is it that Brundle and Coulthard kept saying he "never lifted enough"

Seb back on top for quali, not surprised to see that.

Should mention that this is the FIRST time that both HRTs have outqualified both Virgin cars! Well done to the little Spanish team!

Toro Rosso are looking quite strong in the final few races of the season, as they often do. Would be great to see them have this form in the first part of the season... it would help mix up the front of the midfield even more!

Shame that Lewis had the grid-drop, but it's not all about grid-position these days. I hope McLaren can give RBR a decent run for their money tomorrow :drink:

BTW, with Massa's accident, should we really be seeing a suspension collapsing due to taking a kerb slightly wrong? Was that incident the fault of the car, the kerb or Felipe?

The suspension will only take so much punishment before it fails. He took too much kerb and hit these ridiculous orange ubber-kerbs. These ubber-kerbs were and still are an accident waiting to happen so hopefully they will be removed, if not for this race then the next one.

I thought it looked a bit extreme...

Well good drivers will know how/when to avoid these kerbs, theres no need for a circuit to be 'easy' for the drivers. If idiots can't drive and get caught out as the Baby did, there's a nice run off where they can park the car, get out and walk home.

I'm sick of the kindergarden tracks these days in F1 with so much tarmac runoff to accommodate babies like Felipe, India is one of the closest to those 'real race tracks' lets not dumb down this one too.

Lewis accepts it? I imagine lewis is seething. He's just playing along with all this.
Lewis is a bad boy. Lewis has history. Lewis is dangerous. Lewis needs punishing.
Jenson smiles a lot. jenson is a good boy. jenson wouldnt do anything bad. Lets give Jenson the benefit of the doubt.
Ok fine if fans want to be so biased but when stewards do it its a sorry state. Perhaps they should be spending a little more time training their marshalls on flag waving and their course engineers on which light to show and a little less time on unfair penalties.

Anyone watching the pre race show-in Austin Texas. I kept wondering if we'd see Tex in his deputy's outfit :rofl: (for the newer members, Tex is a forum member of many years-not been around for a while)

Quite impressed with the car managing to withstand a constant surface of dirt and rocks. Another great feature there.

A race in Austin might persuade Tex to come back, you know. He did briefly, to express his distaste at the mods... :hehe:
