There is a Rumor that the dates may change to later in the year, right before Brazil... I have a couple of different irons in the fire for lodgings including hotels and camping.. If anyone has any more new on this please post..

Bernie's revised calendar proposes November 18th as the date for the US Grand Prix.

Hmmm, Its not 101 degrees in November, but its iffy on rain... I would like to see a dry inaugural race, just to see what the track can do..

I would just be happy to see the inaugural race in all of it's glory wet, dry, snow or hurricane!

WOOOOOOOOOOOT I just got the email about v8 supercars today as well!!!! Looks like houston and I are gonna become great friends with f1, moto gp, and v8 supercar races being held there. I live in az but I am moving to new orleans next month and I checked how far it is from houston and it's only about 5-6 hours driving time :twisted::twisted:

It's Austin...One hour away from my good ol' San Antonio. BRING IT! :D

A hurricane could happen as the season is June 1st to Nov 30th. But yeah, doesn't matter, I will be there!

That's dedication - F1 in a hurricane. I hope this is one of the races the BBC televise in full. The track looks good and the new tarmac which will be slippery should help make it a good first race.

I'm starting to warm to this track a lot - the layout isn't quite like anything else on the calendar at the moment. Especially compared to the massive slew of Tilke style tracks we had introduced over the last decade or so.

You would have warmed up even more to it in late June!
